Soap Opera Digest: Can you believe you’ve been on the show for a year?
Adrian Bellani: No. I can’t believe I still have my job.Digest: Why?
Bellani: I’m so blessed and so lucky to still be a part of this show. I can’t believe it’s been a year already; it’s unbelievable. It feels like 10 years, but it feels like a couple of months at the same time. So much has happened, but it’s gone by so quickly.

Digest: What have you learned over the last year?
Bellani: I can’t even begin to explain to you how much I have learned because when I first started, I didn’t know anything. I really feel like I have come a long way. I really worked my butt off to keep up and to learn as I was going and to get better. I’ve been so lucky to work with the people I’ve been working with. To work with someone like Heidi [Mueller, Kay], who is always so prepared, has pushed me to stay on top of my game. We work well together. I think that’s why I’m still here and still working so hard. Digest: How do you feel your life has changed in the last year?
Bellani: I really don’t feel like it has changed that much. I really try to stay as humble as I can. There have been little changes. I’m financially independent now. It feels great to have a little bit of money and to be able to pay for my parents’ dinner and little things and not have to worry if I’m going to have enough money to pay for my cell phone bill and stuff like that. Finances have been the biggest change in my life. Other than that, I’ve been myself and have tried not to change and really hope that I don’t.Digest: Looking back on your first month on PASSIONS, how have your relationships with Mark Wystrach [Fox] and Heidi changed?
Bellani: Mark and I really built a great friendship. We saw each other every day and shared a [dressing] room and got to know each other. He’s a good guy. Mark and I are great friends. We talk every day. And Heidi and I are great friends. Heidi is a wonderful, wonderful person; someone I admire and look up to. She’s one of the reasons I’ve become the actor that I’ve become because I’ve had to keep up with her. She’s such a hard worker. Not to say that I’m not a hard worker, but I really try to be up to par with her. Digest: How do you look back on your first day on PASSIONS?
Bellani: I’d rather not talk about it [laughs]. My first day was a quick phone call. The day I really consider my first was when I actually worked with somebody and that was the day that Kay [had a fantasy of sex with Miguel]. That was the first day I ever met [Heidi]. I was so nervous I couldn’t hit the light switch, but I think I have enough experience in that area now; I’ve had my fair share of love scenes.Digest: Do you still feel like a newcomer?
Bellani: Sometimes I do. I feel like a newcomer when I’m in a room with people who I don’t normally work with and they talk about stuff [that happened] back in the day. I’m lucky to be in a company and on a show that everybody is like a really big family and everybody is so giving. I’m really happy here. Digest: What is your goal for your two-year anniversary?
Bellani: I just want to make sure I’m still working and make sure my storyline is still there and I’ve become one of the actors on the show who works a lot and keeps people attracted to the show.
