Help Wanted
Stranded in the West Virginia mountains with Caleb, Erica Kane is far from a happy camper. Perhaps she’ll take comfort in knowing that she is far from the only Pine Valley-ite to find herself marooned. Here’s a look back at 18 other stranded souls on AMC.
1982: An avalanche left exes Donna and Chuck stranded together in Switzerland. Close quarters and a pesky fear of dying led them to cheat on their respective partners with each other, resulting in a pregnancy.
1986: Jeremy and Natalie ended up stranded on an island when he went to search for a missing Erica and Nat trailed him. The stress was so great that she gave birth to her son, Timothy, prematurely.
1991: Jealous of her glamorous older sis, Natalie, Janet gave herself a Natalie-inspired makeover and tossed her sister down a well. Natalie was ultimately rescued by Dimitri.
1993: When Gloria and Alec were stranded together at Adam’s cabin, she finally gave in to his persistent attempts to seduce her.
2000: Desperate to keep an amnesiac Stuart from discovering his true identity, Esther got him to agree to accompany her to Las Vegas. Her trailer broke down en route and they were stranded at a truck stop diner, whose owners gave them room and board while Stuart and Esther did odd jobs for them.
2001: Greenlee was stranded on an island with Jake after Vanessa drugged her and set her afloat on a sinking boat.
2004: Darn those storms! Babe and Bianca, both very pregnant, were stranded in a cabin thanks to dangerous weather conditions and were forced to give birth to their babies, now known as AJ and Miranda, respectively.
2006: A plane trip gone wrong left Babe and Josh stranded togther on an island. They grew closer before being rescued by JR, Jamie and Julia.
2006: As Tad and Dixie searched for their missing daughter, Kate, Dr. Greg Madden duped them and the beleaguered parents were left stranded together in the Maine wilderness.
2008: Thanks to nefarious Richie, Zach first ended up as the victim of a hit and run and then, alongside Greenlee, was stranded in, of all places, a bomb shelter in the woods. By the time they were rescued, their loves, Kendall and Aidan, respectively, had given up hope and had grief sex with each other.
2009: A broken-down vehicle led left Ryan and Erica stranded together in the woods instead of at a business meeting in Philadelphia. It also kicked off a new stage of their close friendship, which ultimately led to a short-lived romance.
