Great Scott
James Scott (Ethan, ALL MY CHILDREN) is lending his time and energy (and that singular physique!) to an incredibly worthy cause, competing in the 2005 New York City Triathlon to benefit the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society. “One of the things that was most appealing to me about the prospect of working with AMC was the opportunity to take advantage of my celebrity to help people in need,” says the actor. Here’s how you can help — and maybe pick up a little something for yourself along the way.
A Message From James Scott:
“On July 10, I, James Scott, will be competing in the New York City 2005 Triathlon.
My good friend Matthew was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) eight years ago. The grace and strength in which Matthew has handled this disease has been an inspiration to me. I am dedicated to doing whatever I can to help find a cure for MS and I hope you will support me.
Want to win a trip to New York City and help me raise money to find a cure at the same time?!
Every good triathlon competitor needs a team to support him or her throughout the race. I am currently holding a contest and whomever comes in first place will win a trip to NYC for the Triathlon weekend and become part of my personal team.
First Prize includes:
- a round-trip ticket to New York City
- “Soap Star” transport to and from the airport
- Accommodations at a top Manhattan hotel
- Dinner Saturday night with a mystery AMC cast member
To enter simply make a $25 donation at www.JamesScottTriathalon2005.com. You can donate as much as you like in multiples of $25. Every $25 will get you another entry into the contest. For example, if you donate $25 you will receive one entry or if you enter $100 you will receive four entries.
The winner will be announced July 1, 2005, and must be available to travel to NYC on Saturday, July 9th, and return Monday, July 11th. All entrants must be over 18 years of age and be US residents. Offer applies to US mainland only. Prizes are not transferable.”
