At the airport, Robbie was psyched to be home. Rick showed up, and Michelle told him she was giving Robbie to him, so the little boy could live with Danny, while she took care of her own grief. She said she couldn’t stay in Springfield because there was nothing left for her there, but she wasn’t going back to California either. She disconnected her phone and canceled her mail delivery, and wouldn’t tell him where she was going. She said good-bye to Robbie, who left with Rick. Later, she had to talk herself out of calling Danny, just to hear his voice, but didn’t give into temptation.
Danny wasn’t at his house anyway. He was at the hospital, declining to give Cassie back the baby because he believed Dinah’s claims that Hope was Michelle’s. He was furious that Jeffrey lied about the original DNA test. Cassie said the second test proved that Edmund bought the baby, that she wasn’t Michelle’s baby anyway…. Cassie stepped away to think; Dinah followed her and said that the baby she miscarried was her chance at redemption. Cassie told Dinah she could change people’s minds about her if she helped Cassie get the baby back now. Danny and Jeffrey tried to reach Michelle. Rick showed up, and explained that his sister had taken off, but was fine. Cassie tried to take the baby back again, but Danny refused to let anyone leave until he had taken a DNA test, even though there was only a 50/50 chance that he was the baby’s father.
Elsewhere in the hospital, Tammy muttered sorry to Sandy’s sleeping form, remembering how he told he he’d seen her with Jonathan. She ran into an elevator, where of course Jonathan was lurking. She told him that Sandy had broken up with her. He apologized for her guilty/sad feelings, but insisted that she still wanted to be with him, that this was her wake-up call. Jon touched her face, his hands shaking as he promised to protect her always. He leaned down to kiss her, but then the elevator stopped at the roof, and she ran out. She prayed to God, promising that she would live up to her end of the bargain by loving Sandy always. She asked for help to get Jonathan out of her head. Ava snuck up behind her, and they discussed faith. Ava told her that Jonathan was a good guy, and to give him a chance. Tammy insisted that she had a boyfriend and showed Ava a picture of Sandy…. Meanwhile, Jonathan went into Sandy’s hospital room, and they had a tense moment, ending with Jonathan swearing he’d learn everything about Sandy’s life and expose the truth. Tammy rushed in and kicked him out, then tried to make amends with Sandy, who was furious when he found a note that read, “I found you.” He crumpled it up, and sent her out of the room…. Back on the roof, Jonathan stormed up, and ran into Ava. She encouraged him not to give up on Tammy, because it was obvious how the other girl felt about him. He planned to try a new tactic: making Tammy see that she didn’t want to be with Sandy.
