Josh toasted to his future with Cassie, then she told him to get out. She explained that she wanted Josh to go meet with Dr. Colin McCabe about Reva’s recovery. Cassie made a point of trying to appear confident and unthreatened by her beau’s past with Reva…. Meanwhile, at Cross Creek, Billy fussed over Reva, who yelled at him. He picked up a framed photo of Josh and asked if Reva’s waiting for “this guy”? Reva griped about Josh’s relationship with her little sister. She reasoned that though she’d pushed them together, she hadn’t wanted them to have a romance until she was dead.

On Main Street, Harley and Marina discussed the blogger case; Harley was vexed that she hadn’t been the one to figure out Blake was the blogger. Jonathan came along and Marina congratulated him. Last-to-know Jonathan was taken aback until she told him that Reva’s cancer-free. A jubilant Jonathan announced he was running off to see his mother at Cedars. At the hospital, Josh consulted with Colin about Reva’s care. Before leaving, the doc said that he’s glad that Josh and Reva are together. Jonathan walked up and wanted to know what that was all about. He warned his ex-stepdad not to play games with Reva.

While Cassie was watching a TV report on the blogger, Harley arrived. Harley asked her friend how Reva’s recovery will impact Cassie’s future with Josh. Cassie told Harley that Reva would have a fight on her hands if she tried to win back her ex-husband…. Lillian paid a call to Reva at Cross Creek and gave her a pep talk on how she herself survived cancer. The nurse noted that she’d take care of Reva for a few weeks. When Lillian left on an errand, Billy pouted about being shoved from caretaker role. Reva argued that she’s only being fair to him, but Lewis walked out, leaving Reva to cry alone on the sofa.

Olivia once again confronted Jeffrey, this time in Blake’s room at the Beacon. She commented that if Blake was out of the picture, Acting Mayor Jeffrey could drop “Acting” from his title. Liv noted that there was an Election Day party going on downstairs and dropped insinuations about how many women Jeffrey could get and taking advantage of young girls. Ashlee barged in and said she was going to report Jeffrey for being in Blake’s room, but Beacon owner Olivia stopped Ashlee from phoning her mother, prosecutor Doris Wolfe… Jeffrey offered Olivia a drink, which prompted a flashback to the night of the Embassy party. Olivia became increasingly unhinged and finally lunged at Jeffrey with sharp object. O’Neill managed to restrain her. She shouted at him about how he ruined her life 20 years ago and jogged his memory about the party. Jeffrey was thrown by the news that he’d gotten Liv pregnant.

Mallet faced off with Dinah when he found her slipping out of the Beacon with packed bags. He told her that he’d viewed the security tape which proves she knows Blake is the blogger. (And thus has a motive for poisoning her.) Mallet said he no longer wants to pretend that he doesn’t want to protect Dinah and asked if she trusts him. She returned the question, then said that she did not try to kill Blake. Dinah confessed that she hates Blake and yes, knows her stepmother is the blogger. Dinah explained how she told off comatose Blake and had planned to leave town. She also conceded that Blake is her last connection to her father and she needs Blake more than she hates her. But Dinah cried that she knew she’d get accused and no one will believe her. Mallet said he believed her and Dinah rejoined that she trusts him.

At the police station, Marina figured out that the poisoned champagne was supposed to be delivered to Jeffrey, not Blake. When Mallet showed up he insisted to Marina that Dinah wouldn’t try to harm Blake, or Jeffrey either. Dinah slipped out of the interrogation room as they were talking and jumped to the wrong conclusion. “You bastard, you set me up,” she hissed before slapping Mallet across the face. Trying to reason with her, he handcuffed her to a desk so she wouldn’t leave, but Dinah pulled out the desk drawer and stormed out with the drawer dangling from her cuffed wrist.

Marina laughed about how guilty Dinah looks and Mallet asked his partner why she was acting so jealous.
