Harley and Gus had dinner with Alan-Michael and Beth. Gus appeared annoyed that Harley kept talking on the phone because of work the whole time. They had a fight, and left separately. Beth was thrilled to see the strain in their marriage and called Alan, gloating that, “This is going to be easier than we thought.” Later, Gus grabbed Harley and they revealed that they had staged their fight and then started to get it on.
You know your wedding is a bad idea when you’re in the shower and pretending that the guy kissing you is someone else. Poor Tammy. And poor Sandy, who had no idea his fiancée was imagining he was Jonathan, as the Tammy/Jonathan theme song swelled in the background (seriously, it’s unbelievable how much your recapper hates that song). Meanwhile Reva approached Jonathan in town, who stunned her by saying he was going to give up on Tammy, so that she could have a happy life with Sandy.
Marina, Ava and Lizzie met up at a bar to get ready for Tammy’s bachelorette party. The girls all looked very glittery. When Tams arrived, they gave her shots of tequila (Lizzie is 21?) and a list of things she had to do, like kiss a guy’s tattoo, give a lap dance to a guy in a blue shirt and dance with the next guy to walk through the door (after a priest and an old man walked in, Alan-Michael strolled through the door). Throughout the night, Tammy kept drinking more because she couldn’t get Jonathan out of her head. Meanwhile her cousin watched her from outside, where Reva found him. “What’d you do, follow me?” He asked. “Right to Tammy,” she responded. He told her that he knew if he could just have five minutes with Tammy, he’d be able to make her admit that she really belong with him. “We were meant to be together and we will be,” he said. She handed him a business card with an address for an apartment on it, insisting he needed something else to focus on besides Tams. Marina was clearly missing Danny, but thankfully Alan-Michael was there to irritate her. Reva arrived at the party, had a couple shots with the girls, and then took off, calling Cassie to wish her luck before the wedding the next day. Tammy’s last task of the party was to steal a plastic groom off the top of a wedding cake at the nearby bakery. For some reason she went off by herself.
At the same time, Sandy had drinks with Jeffrey and Josh, who gave him advice about marriage, even though Jeff has never been married. Jonathan dropped by for a drink. Josh was a little perturbed that Jonathan was going to the wedding, but thanked him for making more of an effort with the family, because Tammy deserved a happy day.
At the bakery, Tammy monologued to the little bride and groom figures. Suddenly she turned around and Jonathan was there. Bring on the theme song!
In other parts of Springfield, Danny met Michelle at the Bauer house with a surprise. In front of Mel and Rick, he told her he wanted to get married again, that very night, because they would still be together if the warehouse accident hadn’t happened (um, yeah right, this is the soap world, Santos, but like the optimism). She was thrilled to be getting married in the Bauer house where she’d had so many wonderful times. Father Ray showed up to remarry the happy couple, in front of Mel and Rick.
