Ashlee caught Jonathan riffling thought Lizzie’s medical file at the clinic. Ashlee threatened to have him arrested but came up with another idea instead: Jonathan would meet her on Main Street at 9 p.m. wearing a tux and she would provide the dirt on Lizzie. Meanwhile, at Company, Tammy tried to talk Cassie into a parent/teacher dinner at Outskirts, but Cassie realized that Tammy only wanted her to find a new man and stay out of Tammy’s business. Cassie announced that she was happy to not be jumping from relationship to relationship for the first time in her life.
At Outskirts, Jonathan stashed his tuxedo when Tammy strolled in, wondering what they were doing that evening. She spotted the tux, but Jonathan covered that a patron had left it behind. Jonathan claimed he had a family thing to attend to (You’re in the same family, genius!). Umm, he and Reva needed mother/son time. Tammy called out that she was willing to go with Jonathan, but he had already split…for Main Street, where Ashlee’s senior prom was being held! Ashlee wanted Jonathan to dance with her and then she’d spill about Lizzie. Jonathan refused, but Ashlee ‘fessed up anyway: Lizzie never saw a doctor at the clinic.
Lizzie suspiciously doubled over with stomach pain as Coop reached for the medical file revealing he is not the father of her baby. The diversion complete, Lizzie passed off the pain as indigestion, but she and Coop headed to the hospital for a check-up anyway. Coop promised that he wasn’t going anywhere and having the baby was going to be amazing. However, Coop’s speech was distorted in Lizzie’s mind when she imagined Jonathan talking about what kind of father he would be. Coop cancelled his plans with Ava to be with Lizzie, and Tammy assured Coop that his decision to stand by his child would mean a lot to Lizzie and the baby.
Josh happily told Reva that the governor was on board with the hospital project. Reva ignored Dr. McCabe’s call, claiming it was a wrong number, but when Josh took a business call, Reva answered her phone as well. The doc wanted Reva to come in ASAP for further treatment, which Reva refused. Reva and Josh beamed at the idea of Marah and Shayne returning home to work on the hospital project and Josh left to attend to business. Dr. McCabe called again and Reva asked for a few months before beginning treatment. The doc told her holding off on treatment wasn’t an option and if she didn’t come to see him, this was his last call to follow-up: She was no longer his responsibility.
Meanwhile, at Company, Josh convinced a reluctant Cassie to continue work on the hospital project. Across town, Reva chewed out Dr. McCabe for his poor bedside manner but was finally able to say aloud that she had cancer. The doc told her that the next step in her treatment was radiation. Reva explained that she believed chemo was worse than cancer and wanted a promise that she would be cured if she underwent radiation treatments. The doctor couldn’t offer a guarantee and stressed that there was no time to waste in treating the disease. Reva, however, claimed that she didn’t have time for cancer treatments. She had a husband who needed her. To that end, Reva returned home and showed Josh a new low-cut dress she bought.
