Dinah and Jonathan’s “pillow” talk was interrupted by Edmund beating on the door. When Dinah finally had her pregnancy padding back on, they opened it and Edmund demanded to know what the heck was going on. “Women need a lot of sex when they’re expecting,” she explained. Once talk turned to the baby, Edmund insisted that the child would bring him and Cassie back together.
At the hospital, Mallet was searching for Sebastian, but he found Harley instead. Spying outside the room, Sebastian made a phone call about a “wanted fugitive.” As soon as Gus woke up alone in the hotel, he called in search of Harley. He was not pleased to find out she was at the hospital and demanded she get back. After a lot of bickering, Mallet took the phone away from Harley and promised Gus he would take care of her. Later at the hotel, Gus was greeted at the door by the police. Meanwhile at the hospital, Dr. Wallace’s sister came to claim her brother’s body, and clued Harley and Mallet in that Dr. Wallace was being paid off by someone. Then the hospital nurse accidentally gave her the note intended for Gus.
It took Cassie and Jeffrey a while, but they finally made it into Company’s for their debut as a couple. Unfortunately for Cassie, Tammy was there and was the first to spot them.
We interrupt this recap with this message: Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor has announced her retirement. And now, back to regularly scheduled programming.
Tammy and Jeffrey were in the midst of a conversation when Jeffrey received a phone call that Jonathan’s adopted mother was found dead. Tammy left, and once Cassie returned to her beau he gave her the news about Jon’s mom and sadly told her he needed to work. Cassie understood and walked outside to get some fresh air, only to be greeted by Edmund. It wasn’t a friendly greeting, however, as he offered her an ultimatum: the baby or Jeffrey. Only he and Dinah were mentioned on the contract. Meanwhile, after leaving Company, Tammy went to Jonathan’s to console him about his mom. Too bad Jonathan didn’t know she was dead yet. When Tammy heard Dinah’s voice, she told Jonathan to check his messages and that she was sorry, then she left. When he did, he found the message from Jeffrey about his mother’s death.
At the hotel, the cops had Gus handcuffed. Gus protested that he didn’t know anything, and then in came Frank demanding to know where Harley was. “Gone, long gone,” Gus replied. By the time Harley and Mallet returned to the hotel, there was no sign of Gus. Harley was intent on finding him, without or without Mallet’s help. Seemed Mallet had a plan of his own, though, and handcuffed himself to her.
Alone with her brother’s things, Wallace’s sister opened the note Dr. Wallace left for Gus. And it stated that Alan was the shooter.
