Lizzie showed a comatose Alan a picture of Jonathan and Sarah and told him it was the family she could have had if Alan hadn’t interfered. Lizzie
wondered if she was getting what she deserved. “I know you are,” she spat. Meanwhile, Cassie assured Josh that she felt better after re-enacting the night of Alan’s shooting. She shared that Tammy came to her in a dream and said that she was at peace and wanted Cassie to be at peace too. Josh and
Cassie exchanged “I love you”s and Cassie left to run errands. Lizzie approached Cassie on Main Street with an apology for Tammy’s death. Lizzie explained she missed Tammy too and reminisced about shopping with Tammy.
Cassie asked to hear more of Lizzie’s stories about Tammy. Lizzie assured that she never meant for Tammy to get hurt and Cassie said that she believed that. They shared a tearful moment as Lizzie wondered how she could go on.
Cassie returned home and told Josh about her encounter with Lizzie. Josh informed Cassie that his gun was missing. Cassie didn’t remember taking the gun but worried that she had. Josh made it appear that the lockbox for the gun had been broken into and the weapon stolen. “I don’t care about the law right now…what I care about is you,” he explained. Cassie wondered if Josh believed she was guilty.

Lizzie got into the elevator at Towers, although it was off-limits as a crime zone. The power cut off and Lizzie was trapped. “I’m so sorry,
Granddad!” Lizzie wailed as Marina and Mallet rescued her. The cops wondered what she meant. Marina noticed that a panel in the elevator ceiling was missing and she discovered a hidden gun.

Buzz told Coop that Alan-Michael wasn’t pressing charges for the accident.
Meanwhile, Alan-Michael threatened Alan’s doctor that he would bring in a
specialist for a second opinion. A-M fretted to Ava that the Spauldings would try to usurp him at the company during his recovery.
Alan-Michael praised that he couldn’t keep going without Ava and flirted that there were some things he wanted that he didn’t get. Josh offered to buy Ava coffee. “I’ve had better weeks,” Ava confided. “I’ve had better
years,” he replied. Josh asked about the investigation into Alan’s shooting, which Alan-Michael overheard and blasted Josh for pumping Ava for information. A-M announced that he was sending Ava to work for Alexandra. She wondered if Alan-Michael was pushing her away because he didn’t want her to see him be vulnerable. Alan-Michael kissed Ava’s hand as Coop
looked on. Coop apologized to Alan-Michael for his role in the accident and the men shook hands. Coop asked to speak to Ava and kissed her. Coop
wondered if Ava wanted to be with Alan-Michael. Ava again asked for space but confided that she trusts Alan-Michael. Coop believed Alan-Michael was
using Ava. In Alan’s hospital room, Alan-Michael rose from his wheelchair and stood to adjust Alan’s blanket. Alan-Michael mused that the accident was a blessing in disguise.
