At Company, Harley told Frank that she was moving on with her life, and finishing the house, but when Zach showed them a picture he made of Gus holding a phone, so he can call them from Heaven again, she decided to call the FBI to ask if there were any more leads on Gus.
Dinah had a nightmare about Mallet cheating on her. When she woke up, Mallet was just coming home from a late work night. She told him about her promotion; he was just congratulating her when his phone rang. He had to go back into work, but before he left, he gave her a toothbrush to keep in his room. After he left, Blake came by for a heart-to-heart. Dinah admitted she was in love with Mallet, but had changed so she wouldn’t ruin the relationship with her own demons. Later, he came home and cleared out closet space for her, but another work phone call sent him running out again. Turns out the call was from Harley, who met Mallet at Company and told him that she wanted to come back to the Springfield PD as his partner.
At Outskirts, an uncomfortable Josh had drinks with an intense environmentalist. Cassie saved him by pretending to be his girlfriend, so the date left. He then sat with Cassie, and told her about the kind of woman he wanted.
Mel confronted Jeffrey about his medicated confession about sleeping with Cassie. She advised him to tell Cassie, which she wouldn’t because of doctor/patient confidentiality. Josh overheard and said that he had no problems about telling Cassie.
At the cabin, Gus tried to fix Beth’s phone, so Beth pretended to trip into him which broke the phone and injured Gus again. Alan found a receipt with Beth’s things and said, “Oh, my God.”
