Reva and Josh excitedly awaited confirmation that she were pregnant. Dr. Sedwick (the longest recurring character, by the way) broke the news that Reva was not with child. Reva pretty quickly figured that she was going through menopause (perimenopause to be exact). Reva cautioned Josh that he better not treat her like she’s some old lady….

Cassie was shocked to find the farm living room full of baby paraphernalia. A gleeful Edmund spouted off how much he loved Cassie — and quickly added that he had arranged for a surrogate to carry their child. Cassie fled and Dinah emerged from the mysterious, never-seen other part of the house. Edmund chastised himself for his delivery… Gus was dumbfounded about Bill and Harley. Harley really pushed Gus to see the light: They would never get back together. Bill came outside while the two fought. Gus stormed off and Harley confessed to Bill how hard it was to push Gus away. Harley then got Bill to agree to lie that they had slept together….

Wow! A scene with Harley and Cassie — and Josh and Reva! Okay, so they all offered to be at the sentencing. Harley refused, but asked for them to take care of her family and visit her once in awhile. After Harley departed, Reva revealed to Cassie that she wasn’t pregnant and later cackled very loudly that she had menopause….

At Company, — oh, wow, Blake’s there! And Rick and Mel! What a day this is. Anyway, everyone was there to help Harley say good-bye to her boys. Later, Cassie, Josh and Rick talked to the boys about how much Harley loved them….

Now, at the sentencing hearing, Alan spoke to the court about what Phillip would have wanted: for Harley’s sentence to be as lenient as possible. Harley then spoke and asked forgiveness of Phillip’s children. None of it swayed the judge: She gave Harley 25 to life. Gus burst into the courtroom as they dragged Harley away….

Cassie came back to the farm. She said she cannot walk away from her own child. Dinah walked into the room and announced that she
was the gestation carrier. Thursday, April 7, 2005
Dinah and Edmund discussed how they should tell Cassie about the baby. When the “Hey, your arch enemy is carrying your child” didn’t fly, Edmund took the assignment seriously and gave a heartfelt speech to Dinah (as if she was Cassie) about love and family. Meanwhile, Cassie and Jeffrey had a conversation in which she actually referred to him as the spitting image of her dead husband Richard. In an extremely odd twist, after the next commercial break, it was the next morning. Edmund woke up to Dinah preparing breakfast. Cassie came in after the two of them had vanished and was shocked to find this display of domesticity….

Gus pulled a gun on Alan and rattled off the body parts he could shoot. Alan pleaded that he would do anything to stop this insanity. Pleased, Gus lowered the gun and lit a cigarette with it (which, incidentally, is the shot of Gus that’s been running in the opener; now we know what scene it came from). Oh — it’s a fake gun. Who knew they made cigarette lighters in the shape of a gun? That little stunt (which seemed to impress Alan) moved Alan to strike a deal: He will tell the judge to go lightly on Harley’s sentence if Gus comes back to Spaulding Enterprises. Gus made that deal with the devil and after he left, Alan used the novelty cigarette lighter himself….

On Harley’s last night as a free woman, she cleaned up the Harley’s Angels office while she and Bill discussed the problems in their lives. Harley found Gus’s tie and instantly, her calm demeanor evaporated and the sadness came roaring back. Drawn together in mutual sorrow (hey, this is a soap!), Bill and Harley started to kiss. Harley broke down crying and Bill held her. Then comes that commercial break and it’s morning. Gus walked in and discovered Harley and Bill lying in each other’s arms asleep. Gus and Harley fought and Harley announced that she had intimate relations with Bill….

While Emma played quietly in a chair, Sebastian tried to strike a business partnership with Olivia. Some barbs were traded until an emotional Olivia called Bill and left a message saying how much she loved him. Surprise! It’s the next morning and Alan hovered over Emma and Olivia at Company during their breakfast. Another surprise! Alan wanted Olivia to strike a deal with him so she could get Bill back. Olivia planned to think about it. Wednesday, April 6, 2005
Harley returned to Company where she found Zach and Jude. Surprised that the boys were up, she was even more thrown to learn that Alan was babysitting them. Alan observed how close the boys were, just like their fathers, Phillip and Rick. Harley huffed that these boys were not put on this Earth to replace Phillip and the life he led….

Buzz had a talk with Gus at the hospital. Gus sent Buzz away to look for a doctor, or “If you can’t get a doctor, get Rick,” added Gus, who then sneaked out. When Gus arrived at the restaurant, he found Alan. Meanwhile, Harley introduced her boys to her and Frank’s tree house. She gave them imaginary keys and told them the place belonged to them now. She tried to explain that she was going away, which upset Zach. He ran off and Gus, who had just arrived, stopped him. Harley again asked Gus to leave her alone, then left for the Harley’s Angels storefront. Gus returned to Company and got into a fight with Alan….

Michelle tried to convince Tony that her regained memory doesn’t mean that their life is over. Rick stopped by and Michelle revealed that her memory has returned….

Olivia and Bill fought over the Spaulding Enterprises bid to take over Lewis Construction. Bill spat that he was disgusted with both Billy and Liv’s behavior. The spouses continued to argue, this time over Bill’s friendship with Harley. Bill took off and ran into Harley at the storefront. They shared a few beers and wallowed in their respective misery. Harley explained to Bill why she needed Gus out of her life: Worrying about her put his health in jeopardy. Gus overheard and the former couple had a heart-to-heart. Gus vowed to find Phillip’s real killer, while Harley fretted that Gus was throwing his life away for her. During their conversation, Gus collapsed. The paramedics rushed him to the hospital. While the doctors worked on Gus, Harley convinced Alexandra to stay with Gus because she needed to leave. Rick emerged and explained that Gus needed to take care of his health and cut stress out of his life. While Gus was out cold, Harley said an emotional good-bye and left the hospital….Danny and Michelle separately told Marina and Tony about the construction accident, but neither mentioned that Michelle got her memory back. All four ended up meeting outside of Company. Danny offered an awkward congratulations to Tony over his engagement. Once inside, Danny and Michelle confessed to each other that neither had spilled the beans about her memory returning. But Marina figured out what they were hiding and tentatively asked Danny about it. He confirmed, but was visibly shaken. Later, Michelle admitted to Tony that she remembered everything about her old life, including her love for Danny….

At Farley’s, Sebastian and Alan circled like sharks around Olivia. Liv approached and the three exchanged barbs until she took off. Holly showed up. She and Alan played a game of pool, while Alan questioned her about her intentions with Sebastian. Alan’s nod to history: “Your father would have released a plague,” he told Sebastian about how Roger would handle any attacks on his family….

Bill started his day at Lewis Construction. Unbeknownst to Bill, Liv arrived to flaunt to Billy information about the thug he hired. Billy secretly pressed the intercom button so Bill could hear Liv try to blackmail Billy into handing over Lewis Construction. As Olivia left a message for Alan stating that she could get the Lewis operation, Bill emerged from his office. Monday, April 4, 2005
Michelle was conked on the head by falling debris, which caused her memories to come flooding back. After she reflected on special times such as barbecues and Robbie’s birth, she and Danny made love. Meanwhile, at Company, Marina worried that Danny had not shown up for their trip to Chicago. A giddy Tony informed Marina that he and Michelle planned to marry. He also broke the news to Ray and showed Robbie the engagement ring. Just as Tony enlisted the boy’s help in making his mom happy, a conflicted Michelle arrived at the restaurant….

At J. Farley’s, Cassie attacked Dinah, who blurted out that she’s pregnant. Cassie spat that if Dinah really is pregnant, she would feel sorry for that kid. Shaken, Cassie called Tammy; they planned to meet at Company. Tammy was at the farm, where she and Sandy had discovered a crib. Edmund explained that it’s a sign of hope that he and Cassie will share a child someday. After Tammy left to meet her mom, Dinah came. Frustrated by the complicated directions, Edmund tried to destroy the crib but Dinah stopped him and promised to help him keep his anger at bay. At Company, Cassie informed her daughter that she is seeking a formal separation from Edmund. Tammy argued that Cassie needs to pay a visit to Edmund in order to understand how much he wants to fix their family. Cassie asked Tammy if she can stay at her place for a few days. Tammy agreed, but when Jeffrey arrived, he asked Cassie to come home with him. The show ended with a montage as Springfielders pondered their complicated lives while Jeffrey sang at the bar.
