Nikolas and Courtney enjoyed each other’s romantic company and alternated between bouts of lovemaking and pillow talk. Nikolas and Courtney observed how compatible they are despite coming from such vastly different backgrounds. Courtney got sick to her stomach during dinner so the two retired early to their room, where she vomited after sipping some water. Nikolas and Courtney ascribed it to motion sickness from the surfing they had done that day.
Jax came to after the car accident and found Elizabeth unconscious in the passenger seat. Sonny found Carly near the the accident scene and spirited her away. Once he took Carly home, Sonny confided what happened to Emily, and asked her to go to GH to do some snooping to find out how Elizabeth was and if anyone knew that Carly caused the accident. Sonny had his hands full trying to control Carly as she continued in her delusions. In a more lucid moment, Carly begged Sonny to promise to let her stay with him and not send her to Shadybrook. Sonny promised her and consoled her. Reese arrived to help. Sonny told her he planned to cover for Carly. Reese insisted that she was beyond Sonny’s help and that he couldn’t continue like this. Durant arrived at Sonny’s and demanded that he turn Carly over to him. Sonny stonewalled and Reese pulled out her scandalous photos of Durant so they could have a chuckle over them. Durant left with his tail between his legs — but not before warning Sonny of his imminent ruination by the Ruiz family.
At GH, Dr. Meadows began an emergency evaluation of Elizabeth. Lucky angrily confronted Jax about the accident. Emily listened as Jax told him a woman darted in front of his car and was the one responsible for the crash. Elizabeth came out of her exam with a clean bill of health for her and the baby. Elizabeth said she couldn’t recall who darted in front of the car but thought it might have been a woman. Jax reminisced about his father to Emily and vowed to be the best father he could to the baby.
Alcazar told Skye to make a fast exit out of Kelly’s because Javier Ruiz arrived. Javier told Alcazar he was in town to avenge his brother and had no beef with Alcazar. Ruiz said that Alcazar was welcome to join him in his quest to bring down Sonny but warned him not to interfere. Alcazar met up with Skye later in the park. Skye was miffed for being sent away like that. Alcazar surprised her with a passionate kiss but Skye pulled away in annoyance, insisting that she was still involved with Luke. Alcazar explained to Skye about the Ruiz family vendetta against Sonny. Skye asked Alcazar if he was just lying in wait to seize control once Sonny and the the Ruiz family destroyed each other.
At PCU, Jesse caught Dillon burning potentially self-incriminating photos in his dorm room. Jesse knocked Dillon aside to salvage the photos. Exasperated by the mounting evidence and opinion against him, Dillon made an impassioned address to his dormmates. Dillon came close to blowing Jesse’s cover as he made a public plea of innocence. He pleaded with the girls to not be afraid of him but warned them that the real culprit was still at large. Georgie and Maxie argued over Dillon’s innocence. Maxie tried and failed to reason with Georgie.
Later at Kelly’s, Javier flirted with Maxie. Jesse spotted Javier from outside and asked Durant who he was. Durant identified him as Javier Ruiz and instructed Jesse that the police department should not interfere in Ruiz’ activities or his plans to kill Sonny.
Back at their apartment, Lucky found Elizabeth unconscious on their kitchen floor.
