GH Recaps Week of Oct. 3, 2005

Lorenzo snuck up on Skye in the trashed Miami hotel room, blasè and sipping coffee. In fact, he was so blasè, she slapped him for it (or she hates coffee). A perfectly healthy Luke strolled in to the room and Skye hugged him — and then she slapped him, too, for not calling her while he was gone. Back in PC, Courtney took her uber-generic vitamins and then answered the door to Elizabeth. After the requisite Awkward Miscarriage Talk, Liz got nosy and asked Courtney to break up with Nik so he could go back to Emily. Say, what? At GH, Nikolas showed up to take Emily home. Uh, thanks, but no thanks. In Maui (wowee!), Sam was amused that Jason took a beating from the Big Thug. Jason had walked away from a fight…and it felt good. As Reese hovered supportively at Greyskull, Sonny called over Lainey. He wanted Carly out of Rose Lawn ASAP! Back in Miami, Luke discovered it was ketchup on the sheets, a game of “catch the condiments.” Hmm. Back in PC, Liz sang Nik and Em’s marital praises and wondered if Courtney really wanted to be with a man still hung up on his wife. “I know I wouldn’t.” Meow! Emily had a ride waiting, from Max, and this news made Nik very testy. “You’re going to Sonny’s house. That’s where danger lives.” Yeah…and Michael and Morgan. She wouldn’t abandon them. At Chez Danger, Lainey reassured Sonny that he was doing the right thing. He remained focused on Carly’s committal as Reese tried to comfort him (Poor Reese…what is she, chopped liver?). Emily skipped off and then Nik complained to Lucky about Sonny’s place being “home” for her. He did admit, however, that he had other priorities, too.
Nik’s Other Priority let Jax into the loft so they could continue getting to a “good place.”
Sonny kept kvetching about Carly’s situation to Reese and she tried to ease his mind by offering they take it slow, date, and swap stories about skiing. Sonny agreed to go out on a date with her. On the beach. Jason was hopeful that he could have a normal life, that he and Sam had a real chance of building something (way to jinx it AGAIN, Jase). As Lorenzo and Luke snarked about the Ruiz family, Skye realized the woman’s earring was familiar. It was Tracy’s! “My wife is here?” Luke boggled as, elsewhere, a duct-taped Tracy struggled in a chair. The Awesome Aussie and Courtney made headway again…so, naturally, Mike interrupted. Only, this time, he was nice! “Why the 180?” Jax wondered. At Greyskull, Emily was greeted by a hug from Sonny and after some niceties and her reiterating Lainey’s advice, she reminded him it was Michael’s Back-to-School night. D’oh! (Sorry, Reese.) Michael wasn’t too keen on checking out the school with Dad and the cute babysitter since Mom was hanging out in the nut hatch. “Don’t let it get to you,” Sonny advised. “Hold your head up high, and remember what the truth is: Your mom did the right thing by getting help.” A visibly moved Emily watched Sonny and son hug (Sorry, Reese). At Metro Court, Lainey’s chilly ‘tude had Justus wondering if she had something really big to hide while Ric offered a bummed Reese a shoulder to cry on about Sonny ditching their date.
At the Hawaiian Love Shack, Jason brought Sam a surprise: Danny! Aw! They made up over ice cream. Courtney excused Mike’s membership in the Jax fan club and then Jax politely excused himself. Courtney admitted to her pops that she wasn’t ready for Jax or Nikolas to know about her baby. Luke learned that Tracy had visited his hotel room and then he, Lorenzo, and Skye argued about Luke’s sudden influx of cash. Alexis walked up on Ric and Reese’s flirting. She sardonically advised him to quit paying so much attention to Sonny’s chopped liver…er…girlfriend. Nearby, A frustrated Lainey walked out on Justus: “Not everybody has the luxury of being able to go back and confront their past!” Mike advised Courtney to ‘fess up to both dads as soon as possible. Luke brushed off his petty money laundering, wondering if something was up between Lorenzo and Skye, but then the phone rang. It was a “Vinnie Blue Eyes.” He wanted his money…and he had Luke’s wife. Tracy was none too happy at Luke’s response: “The million is mine. I’m keeping it. Feel free to do the same with Mrs. Spencer.” At Kelly’s, busybodies (they even admitted it) Lucky and Liz high-fived each other on rooting for a Nik/Em reunion. Nik came to see Courtney at the loft, wanting her to know he cared about her. “I believe that. The feeling’s mutual,” she said. But she’d come to a decision: They were over. A happy Sam and Jason continued to jinx their Hawaiian happiness as Javier got a lead on Sam having connections there. Alexis still believed Ric would choose fatherhood over Sonny. But if he didn’t, odds were Sonny would find out about his Reese fixation and just kick him out. Back-to-School night finished, a boisterous Michael, Sonny, and Emily joked about crazy students and bats. “Where do you think I go? Hogwarts?” Michael wondered. “Hogwarts?” Sonny laughed, “That’s good!” A bereft Chopped Liver watched them from the doorway…
