Alexis thanked Carly for taking her to the hospital and asked her to leave. Carly pointed out she has no one to be with her since she pushed Sam away. Meanwhile, Ric took Molly out of the Lake House while Alexis was hospitalized. He brought her to his new apartment and had Cruz deliver papers to a judge requesting sole emergency custody of Molly. Daddy knows more about winning than Mommy, Ric told his little girl.
On the docks, Sonny warned Jason not to let Ric get to him as Sam eavesdropped. Then, her cell phone rang, blowing her cover. It was nanny calling to let her know Ric took Molly. Sam then called Alexis and filled her in. “You did the right thing,” Alexis replied. Alexis immediately called…. Oops, commercial break.
Luke was stunned when he heard Laura call his name as he exited her room at Shadybrook. “Is it you?” he asked. “Of course it’s me,” she smiled back. Luke was overjoyed. “You came back to me,” he exclaimed. “Hold me,” Laura answered. Luke wrapped his shaky arms around the love of his life. Laura said her mind was hazy. The last thing she remembered was that they were to be married. She asked if she was in a car crash. Luke lied and said yes and she has been unconscious for a while. (Laura didn’t realize she has been catatonic for four years.) She touched his face and smiled. Luke met Robin in the hall and told her the treatment worked. Robin advised Luke to get Laura a good shrink to help with the adjustment. Patrick called Laura, “A living miracle.” Lainey showed up and was briefed. She advised Luke not to bring up any trauma and Robin mentioned that LS-49 only works once. Luke vowed to protect his beloved.
At Alcazar’s, Lorenzo summoned Diego and told his son he’s ready to bring him onto the family business. Alcazar figured that keeping Diego close would keep him safe but Diego was skeptical. Skye entered with Lila Rae for a visit. Skye let Diego hold his half-sister. Lorenzo beamed with pride. Skye put the baby down for a nap and Diego accepted his father’s offer to work together. The men hugged. Lorenzo told Skye that he put in a nursery but she replied that she doesn’t plan to get back together with him. Alcazar told Skye he’s not going to lie: He’s not leaving the business. But, he implored her to stay with him and that he would keep her and their daughter safe. “Power brings protection,” he claimed.
In the Shadybrook garden, Nikolas, Lucky and Lulu conversed about how much they had hoped the treatment would have worked. The kids played the game of “Which one of us messed up worst?” Lucky had his sibs pick up an anniversary gift for Elizabeth. Just as they returned, Robin and Patrick located them and informed the three of Laura’s recovery.
Sam arrived at Ric’s with Sonny and Jason. Sonny told Ric to give Molly back. Without a court order yet, Ric handed Molly to Sam and then advised Sonny to stay out of his life. The brothers bickered. Ric claimed Alexis favors Kristina over Molly and the baby is better off with him. He said he wasn’t going to let history repeat itself and let Molly be the overlooked child like he was. “Not now,” Sonny said. “Not ’til Alexis is cancer-free.” Ric called his brother a hypocrite. Sonny and Jason left. Sam brought Molly to the hospital to see Alexis. As their visit came to a close, Alexis asked Sam to let Kristina down easy about moving out. After Sam and Molly left, Carly chastised Alexis for not apologizing and asking Sam not to stay.
Cruz returned to Ric’s. The judge denied his request. (Alexis got to the judge first. So that’s who she called!) Ric went to Alcazar’s and demanded help. Ric offered Alcazar protection for his help nailing Sonny and Jason and tossed him a computer chip.
At the hospital, Carly gave up on Alexis and vented to Sonny. He had a solution: “We’ll take the girls.” “We?” Carly asked. Sonny asked Carly to move in with the boys to keep the girls company. “They need you, Carly,” he implored. “You’re shameless,” she huffed as she agreed. But, she stated, he had to get Alexis’s approval. The duo entered Alexis’s room. Alexis thanked Sonny on Molly’s behalf. He then brought up his suggestion, leaving Alexis speechless.
At the Lake House, Sam assured Kristina that even though she was leaving, she’d always be a part of her little sister’s life. Jason arrived and asked if Sam needed help with her bag. They talked about her eavesdropping earlier and agreed they want to be together.
In her room, Laura asked about the kids and feared they died in the car accident. Luke calmed her and said they’re fine, he just hadn’t called them yet. Luke said he would but she needed to take things slow. Just then, then, the kids entered. Laura was shocked at how grown up Lulu had become and demanded to know how long she’d been out of it, leaving Luke fearing for her state of mind.
