As guests prepared to attend the Charitable Endowment fundraiser, hostess Carly was still in her robe fretting over what to wear to her event, which was starting in moments. Alcazar surprised her with an evening gown. Meanwhile, Sonny (looking like a mobbed-up ice cream man in an ivory ensemble) presented Reese with a dress to wear. Uh-huh, you guessed it — the same dress. Reese was among the first to arrive at the soiree and catty comments ensued. During Carly’s speech, Tracy interrupted to remind her that she’s just a figurehead and the Qs have no intention of answering to her. Alcazar lashed out at Tracy for dissing his wife, as the guests shifted uncomfortably. Jax decided to lift everyone’s spirits with a donation of $500k. Liz was impressed, but an increasingly emasculated Lucky squirmed and glowered in his cheap suit. (Sonny, by the way, promised one million.) Despite Alcazar’s admonishment to be nice to the hostess, Reese tossed a drink on her, forcing Carly to change clothes. Sonny went to find her and discussed a truce. During the talk, Carly was dressed in a bra and boy-cut skivvies and apparently felt no awkwardness about the whole half-naked thing. She agreed they should get along and planted a good-bye kiss on him. Reese was watching because Miss Modesty hadn’t bothered to shut the door while parading in her undies. After Reese departed in tears, Carly advised Sonny to knock before entering next time.
Maxie massaged sore, shirtless Jesse and griped about all the attention he was receiving from Jenna and how little food they had. She was even less pleased when Jenna sent her into town to get batteries before the hurricane. While Maxie was away, Jenna told Jesse about a lost love with eyes just like his. He died when a cow kicked him in the head while he was picking flowers for her. Maxie returned in time to see Jenna trying to make out with Jesse. Catfight! After Jenna left, Maxie explained the fight was a cover. She’d snatched Jenna’s keys so they could get some food from the cellar or wherever Jenna keeps her peaches. Mission accomplished, the runaways snagged food including peach jam, which Maxie nibbled off Jesse’s fingers. This, of course, led to kisses.
In Michael’s room, Sam questioned Michael about why he had so much food in there. The boy covered for hungry Jodie who was hiding. Sam and Jason discussed Michael’s bizarre behavior. Upstairs, the lightning made Jodie scream and Michael held her. Dr. Thomas arrived because Michael had left his backpack behind, he questioned Sam and Jason about a letter the boy had written Jodie. Michael overheard the doc ask about the girl. Michael returned to his friend and asked why she lied about being Dr. Thomas’s patient.
The bridge was washed out, so Dr. Thomas was stuck with Sam, Jason, Michael and (hidden) Jodie, while Sonny, Reese, et al were stuck at Lorenzo and Carly’s place. Awkward!
