Patrick carried Robin into Mac’s house, where she was to recover from her shooting. Robin fondly remembered the impact that Alan had on her life and wished she could have done more to have helped him. Just then, Mac, Maxie and Georgie entered and gave Robin hugs. As the family caught up on her condition, a thud was heard from upstairs. Georgie pointed out it sounded like it came from Maxie’s room. Maxie said her space heater probably fell over. The girls went to check while Mac headed back to work. “No male overnight guests for my girls,” he reminded. Upstairs, Maxie checked on Cooper, who’d been hiding in her closet, but the noise turned out to be her puppy, who left a “present” on Georgie’s rug. Maxie gave Georgie a leash and shuffled her sister out of her room.

Downstairs, as Robin and Patrick quibbled, he admitted that he cried over her during the crisis. Robin was touched, then Patrick added that if she told anyone, he’d deny it. His concern finally got her to open up about her experience during the hostage ordeal, and how helpless she felt about not being able to help save Alan’s life. “He was truly a gentle man,” she cried. “He was so good to me … I’m going to miss my friend.” Robin had a good cry and felt better. Then, Patrick’s phone rang. It was the lab with his HIV test results. Robin convinced a worried Patrick to answer the phone.

Upstairs, Cooper packed his bag to leave but Maxie advised him to stay, saying his best protection was to hide in plain sight.

At the Spencer house, Lulu told Dillon that Lesley was heading to the Q manse to offer her condolences. Dillon asked for a distraction and wanted to focus on the Rick Webber murder mystery. Just as he asked her about Scott, Baldwin entered. He expressed his condolences to Dillon about Alan, but Lulu cut to the chase and asked him what he knew about Rick’s death. Scott gave his version of what happened with Theresa Carter’s death and said he complied with Rick to keep Laura safe. Scott blamed Luke for Laura’s condition. He left, and a registered letter came for Luke. it was from the Quartermaine’s attorneys. Lulu opened the letter, much to Dillon’s chagrin. It was from Alan. Just then, Scott returned, claiming he’d forgotten something.

Carly caught up with a devastated Jason, who told her his whole life has changed. She advised him to avoid misplaced guilt.

Jax went to visit Sonny at the coffeehouse, initially to talk about Ric’s custody hearing, but the subject quickly changed to Carly. Just then, Carly entered. She didn’t buy them saying that they weren’t talking about. She informed Sonny that Michael got in trouble for fighting at school. Sonny met with Michael, who claimed he wasn’t fighting. Michael then mentioned to his dad that Carly was planning to head to the Dominican Republic for a divorce.

Sam went to the hospital and apologized to Father Mateo for accusing him of being like Manny. He professed guilt about killing one of the mercenaries but Sam said he shouldn’t feel bad — he helped save lives. She met up with Jason and told him that she now believes Mateo is a good man. When Jason brought up Alan, Sam confessed that Edward asked for her help in bringing Jason back to the Quartermaines. At the nurse’s station, Epiphany pooh-poohed a lurking Elizabeth for still mooning over Jason. Afterward, Liz quietly thanked Jason for not saying anything about the baby’s paternity.

At Metro Court, repairs had begun on the lobby, and Jax and Carly questioned the future of their relationship. Afterward, Jax warned Max that in order to keep his job, he had better not be a spy for Sonny. Max assured him that he no longer works for Corinthos — his loyalty is to Mrs. C. Just then, Maxie entered with Cooper and asked Jax to hire him to help with hotel security. Unfortunately, she referred to her friend as “Three.”

Sam got a call asking her to come to New York for a TV interview about her heroic actions during the hostage crisis. She turned them down because it was the day of Alan’s memorial. Jason, however, advised her to go, saying he’d be okay and she shouldn’t miss such a wonderful opportunity. She reluctantly complied. As Sam flew to New York, someone repeatedly watched her newscast, with a man’s photo and watch sitting in the background.
