At the Haunted Star, Luke laid out his plan to snag Helena for Tracy, who was appalled. Close by was Lorenzo, at Kelly’s, reading the paper to find out what was going on with AJ’s murder since he wasn’t as enterprising as Sam when it came to being in the middle of Corinthos family business. At the sprawling Mansion of Criminal Pursuits, the cops closed in on Carly and she refused to leave her sons. “You need to go,” Jason urged. Sonny tried to stall the boys in blue and when they got upstairs, Carly and Jason were gone! Over on the Star, Kook assured Tracy he’d be “quick like a bunny” so Helena wouldn’t kill her. On a tangential note, Skye, Alan, and Monica were still discussing ELQ finances at the hospital. Could they call Ned for help? Alan dismissed that because Wally Kurth is recurring now. Monica suggested a “corporate, backbiting viper”…Tracy! Back over at Kelly’s, Lorenzo and Mike were taking bets on who really offed AJ and Lorenzo maintained that it was an inside job at the Quartermaines! Accusations were flying over at Casa Corinthos as Reese assured Sonny that her loyalty was to him and not to the law she’d sworn to uphold. An aggravated Mac arrested Sonny for aiding and abetting Carly’s trip out the window and Sonny-the-known-racketeer was furious at being dragged off “like some kinda criminal.” And while Carly and Jason cooled their heels at a safehouse, she started working him to get back to Michael. With Castle Greyskull empty of everyone except girlfriends and children, Mike showed up. Only to have Sam tell him how to take care of his own grandkids before she ran off to help Jason — who probably wouldn’t thank her anyway.
As Luke and Tracy continued to banter in a one-sided manner (Tracy was still gagged), Skye ran in, asking Luke to let Tracy go. Luke refused. “You’re heartless!” Skye spat. Then, Lorenzo arrived, needing to see Skye and Luke quickly stashed Tracy behind a potted plant! At Greystone, Grandpa Mike shared a tender moment with silent Mikey and Grandpa John Durant joined them, assuring that he wouldn’t let Carly go to jail, that they’d find the real bad guys. The assurance made Michael curl up and go even further into his shell. Way to go, Grandpa John! Oops! Over at the PCPD, Sonny and Ric were going 10 rounds in the Corinthos-Morgan Luxury Interrogation Suite while Reese got a magic call from Washington approving her totally biased presence in AJ’s murder investigation. Yeah, Mac couldn’t believe it either. Back at the safehouse, Carly was getting nowhere convincing Jason to let her see Michael, so she tried to remind him of the “old times,” before Sonny (yes, there was a “before Sonny”), giving him the Eye of Sex. Jason didn’t cave (darn!) and Carly tried yet another tactic…speaking about a mother’s arms being a child’s safe place. And then Sam burst in, reiterating that Mikey needed his mama: NOW. Seeing as how his grandfathers were bringing him to the 4th floor and the loving care of Dr. Cutie O’Donnell. At the nurses’ station, Liz got a mysterious call requesting Kristina’s medical records.
After Skye and Lorenzo left to talk ELQ business, Tracy needled Luke about Alcazar, saying, “The competition has landed and he’s tall, dark, YOUNG, and handsome.” Luke prickled but untied Tracy after getting a call that his plan to use Tracy and embezzlement as bait was working! Over at Kelly’s, Lorenzo offered to invest crucial capital into the company in exchange for Skye keeping an ear out for good murder gossip at Avenue Q. Back at the 4th floor, it was a case of the dueling granddaddies as Durant snarked at Mike about Sonny, Mike got defensive, and Alan wheeled up claiming to be the REAL grandfather. Before they could get all good and riled, Monica reminded them it was a hospital and kicked them out. Darn! As Sonny and Reese bolted out of the PCPD at the news of Michael’s re-admittance into the kiddie psych ward, a beleaguered Mac wondered, “Who the heck is running this town?” We wish we knew! Back at Michael’s observation room, Jason and Sam finagled alone time…and then smuggled in a not-the-least-bit-conspicuous Carly in a Labcoat. She tearfully apologized to Michael and asked for a sign. And he touched her hair! (Tissue moment!) Over at Kelly’s, Mike was magically back in his apron as Lorenzo and Skye struck a deal. Luke lurked outside, glowering. Over at the Q mansion, Tracy tried to call her banker and get rid of Helena’s stolen money but Helena cut off the call with her Black Gloves of Doom…oh, no! Over at the PD, Ric left Alexis a shmoopy phone message and Elizabeth told him about Kristina’s records being transferred to a hospital in…London! Blimey, it looked like Lexie had done gone and left him like a country song! Speaking of hospitals, Carly was still bonding with Michael when the pointlessly heartless cops headed by Not-a-Soap-Star-Yet Officer Murphy burst in to arrest her for AJ’s murder in front of her traumatized son. Sonny held Michael back as he finally broke his silence, crying “Mom” and struggling as Carly was pulled away and Mirandized…

On the Haunted Star, Luke was helping himself to coffee and whiskey as a bound and gagged Tracy watched. Durant came to the hospital looking for Dr. Hobbit and encountered Ric and no-longer-dressed-like-a-Fed Reese instead. They exchanged snide greetings, including the savvy Durant calling Reese the “Sonny-loving federal agent.” Back at Sonny’s house, Jason came in to Michael’s heretofore unseen bedroom to reach out to him. Downstairs, Carly was going to take a very loaded fruit tray up to Michael when Sonny stopped her to talk shop about AJ biting the big one. Luke sat down to tell Tracy what he wanted: information about Helena. “I am twice the man you’ll ever be!” Tracy spat in response to Luke calling her “spunky.” And he left her tied up and departed the Star. Back in Alan’s hospital room, Emily called him a “warhorse” regarding his speedy recovery. Alan, however, wasn’t so cheery and spoke of his rift with Monica and her intent to divorce him. Back at the Q mansion, Skye gave her condolences to Monica. “We both loved AJ,” the heart doctor surmised, before decrying AJ’s Very Bad Deeds. For something obviously relevant in the future, Skye mentioned AJ quadrupling the stolen Q. fortune and Monica blew her off, heading for work.
At Kelly’s, we met Lucky, finally-out-of-scrubs Elizabeth and Mike. Why was Mike at Kelly’s and not at the hospital the day before or at Castle Greyskull now? As we pondered that, Liz flashed back to seeing Carly flee the hospital room. When Lucky questioned her about going spacey (not like Kevin), she gave him a hypothetical “my friend” situation to ask for his advice. Sharp as a tack and cute to boot, Lucky told her and her hypothetical friend to go to the police. Back at the hospital, Ric-the-kidnapper and Reese the agent-sans-ethics accused Durant-the-Sonny-hater of trying to cover for Carly. “Durant would accuse Mother Teresa” to protect his child, Ric snarked (Uh, Ric, Mother Teresa’s dead; she couldn’t have done it). Meanwhile, at la Casa Corinthos, Sonny was trying to get Carly to talk about the night AJ bought his last vowel and Jason gave silent Mike a ball…which Michael picked up once Jason left. Alan and Monica continued to have their good old-fashioned Quartermaine spat and when Alan pointed out that Jason “commits murder for a living” the shocked and appalled Emily said she would divorce her dad, too! And Monica pointed out that “vilifying” Jason would lose Alan both his daughter and his wife (um, how is it ‘vilifying’ if Jason is, in fact, a Mob hitman?). Elsewhere in the hospital, Durant gave Ric, his jaunty tie, Reese, and her frilly blouse his whereabouts during AJ’s murder and got off a parting shot about Reese wanting Carly arrested so she could have Sonny. Speaking of Corinthoses, they were at odds over how to handle Michael’s withdrawal. “I’m sorry, when did you get your degree in psychology?” Carly asked Sonny. Oooh! Two points up! Jason waited till the third grade sniping stopped and Carly went upstairs with her ginormous fruit tray before he and Sonny started discussing What To Do With Carly. Unfortunately, Carly, her fruit, and her muffins had no impact on Michael and he knocked the tray out of her hands. Back in Alan’s room, he and Monica were on Round 16 in the Jason vs. AJ Debate and Monica assured Alan that she was filing for divorce. Alan stopped her abrupt departure, asking if she could ever forgive AJ.
Meanwhile, at the 4th floor Nurses’ station, Ric and Reese quizzed Nurse Lizzie about anything she might have seen and Dr. Hobbit-Lars Webber told Mac of the DNA results from The Pillow, saying “I think we found our killer.” And said killer, Carly, was coming back downstairs at Castle Greyskull where Sonny and Jason played a bit of Good Mobster/Bad Mobster to try and get her to leave the country. Jason cajoled (Good Mobster) and Sonny ordered (Bad Mobster). Over at the Haunted Star, Dillon and Georgie found Tracy all tied up. Upon learning that “Kook” Spencer (thank you, Tracy) had done this to get information, they and Skye opted to leave her as is. Meanwhile, Kook reunited with Emily and Lucky at Kelly’s and told them of his new plan to snag Helena. Back over at Sonny’s House of Dark Upholstery, the ever-useful Sam appeared and offered to take Morgan upstairs to bond with Mikey while Sonny and Jason continued to plan Carly’s future. Carly was wary of Sam stepping in like Michael and Morgan’s mother — that’s Leticia’s job! To Sam’s delight, Michael gingerly tossed his ball at Morgan, who obligingly picked it up and tossed it back. Awww! So cute! Ecstatic with the progress, Carly went up to be with her boys…while Reese naturally showed up to warn Sonny and Jason that Carly’s arrest was imminent. Back over at the not-so-Haunted Star, Luke pulled out beluga caviar and bon bons for Tracy as he informed her that he’d set her up. He wanted her to claim she’d been taking money from the Cassadine coffers. She was bait…and he was chumming for a Great White Hells. Cut to an irked Helena on the phone! Someone had her money and that someone would pay dearly! Meanwhile, the Qs, too, were looking at empty coffers. A grim Skye informed Alan and Monica that all of AJ’s glorious assets had been confiscated by the US government. And as Carly sat with the M&Ms, enjoying her first moment of peace in…probably a darned long time, Mac and the boys in blue arrived to take her away. Jason and Sam thundered up the stairs, warning her that she had to go, but Mama Carly refused to leave her sons…

At the Q mansion, Skye and Tracy traded barbs and Tracy casually dropped the news of AJ’s dirt nap while Luke listened from behind a couch. “You’re nothing to the Quartermaines,” Tracy assured the redhead, accusing her of being responsible for AJ’s death. Skye rushed into the main room and stared longingly at the vodka on the sideboard. And Luke walked up. “Did you miss me?” Over on 7th Heaven at the hospital, Steven continued with his autopsy announcement and Sonny stalked away to parts unknown as the hobbit-y doctor proclaimed, “Somebody put a pillow over AJ’s face and held it there until he died.” Naturally, Ric remembered seeing The Pillow. Down in the ER, Jason whisked Carly out of the hospital doors as she confessed that she’d been in AJ’s room to kill him but someone beat her to the Big Snuff. Over in Michael’s room, Courtney offered the silent Mike some ginger snaps and assurances. Her engagement rock glinted and every ship in the PC harbor changed course. Once outside, Courtney began a rant about how happy she was that the psychopath who tormented her nephew was dead. Speaking of people who struck Michael silent with their Machiavellian deeds, Ric chatted with Reese outside the crime scene. Ric figured Sonny had sent AJ on his permanent vacation. Reese pointed out that Ric had the same amount of motive (and she didn’t even know he had smothering tendencies!). Ric was too busy looking guilty to snap back about her finally dressing like a federal agent. The suspect check continued as Steven asked Rachel where she’d been during AJ’s murder and she claimed innocence. Near the 7th floor lounge, Monica and Emily decided to tell Alan about AJ’s murder together and John Durant paid his respects and managed to accuse Jason of murder all at the same time.
Safe at Castle Greyskull, Jason cautioned Carly that if anyone saw her coming out of AJ’s room, she could be in big trouble. Avoiding big trouble herself was Skye as Luke offered to distract her from her grief and guilt with a project involving Helena and she turned him down. The very handy Sam arrived next to Monica and Em just in time to give Durant an alibi for Jason. Jason, of course, was listening to Carly give him the 411 on picking up the pillow but realizing that someone had all ready made good use of it. Luke tried to convince Blaze to dance in the dark with him but she turned both him and Bruce Springsteen down. “You’re not rid of me yet,” he promised. Back at the hospital, Courtney vented about creative ways to maim AJ, including breaking his legs and letting a garbage truck run over him. Jax tried to tell her to chill because it wasn’t wise to vent like this. Reese popped up to see Michael and win some brownie points, even calling him “buddy” like Sonny does and talking about her dead son. Sam ran in to the ER with Jason’s discharge papers and realized she’d been ditched. Jason was off warning Carly “you are in deep this time,” like he did every time she was in deep. And telling him she had to listen to everything he said. Which she never does…although she managed to listen for just a little while and cuddle Morgan instead of going back to the hospital. Back on the 7th floor, Ric and Elizabeth talked about Carly’s argument with AJ and Ric realized Carly could’ve killed him…but Liz pointed out that any parent could be driven to do such a thing. Even her. Even Ric.
Reese kept talking about Jamie, her dead four-year-old, to Michael until she saw Jason and wondered to the hitman about which one of Michael’s loved ones had killed AJ. Finally in his own room, Alan was coming out of a post-surgery haze and Emily and Monica told him what had really befallen AJ. Alan became hysterical, accusing them of not caring because it wasn’t Jason who died and calling Mac Scorpio. Meanwhile, over at Jax’s penthouse, there was obligatory champagne and he and Courtney talked about not postponing wedding plans for silly things like a dead AJ and family trauma. May 20th would be perfect! Hopefully Michael would be social by then! Reese went to go socialize with the tyke herself and discovered that he’d been checked out of the hospital. Alan told Mac that Jason had killed AJ. A furious Monica booted the commish out and raged at Alan, saying that Jason hadn’t tormented the family like AJ had (um, actually, Monica…rewind several soap years and he kinda did). Alan accused Monica of being happy Jason killed AJ and she cried, “I want a divorce!” Elsewhere, Ric told Reese that he suspected Sonny was already whisking Carly and her kids out of the country and then he called the still AWOL Alexis. Back at Castle Greyskull, Carly tried to get through to Michael as Sam popped up to tell Jason she’d given him an alibi. Instead of giving her a prize for her quick and loyal thinking, he told her to say that she hadn’t known his whereabouts. Sam realized that Jason’s priority was proving Carly’s innocence, even at the expense of himself. And Reese lurked outside the window, staring in at Carly and Michael. Back at Avenue Q, Tracy was wearing an unfortunate kimono and looking for AJ’s offshore bank accounts when she was surprised, wooed, and drugged by Luke. He dumped the inert Trace into a wheelchair and they took off for parts unknown! A huffy Ric bristled when Mac refused to share case information with him on account of him being a suspect. Then, Steven told Mac there was DNA on The Pillow and he was starting an analysis. Meanwhile, the savvy commish listed off the potential killers: Ric, Alexis, Courtney, Jason, Monica, Rachel, Sonny, and Carly…
Tuesday, April 26, 2005
The parade of potential killers continued from Monday as Carly, Monica, Emily, Courtney, Jason and Sonny all seemed to be headed towards AJ’s dark hospital room with Murderous Intent. AJ’s room door opened…”I’ve got something I want to say,” AJ said — and say something he did: “mpfhfmol!!!” While AJ was upstairs presumably biting the Big One, the ever-helpful Sam was looking for Jason with the water he’d asked for and he appeared, citing that he’d thought about squeezing AJ’s neck. Monica and Emily both returned to Alan’s bedside, looking twitchy and uncomfortable. Elizabeth met Ric near AJ’s hospital room as Ric told her he needed to interrogate the dastardly kidnapper and Elizabeth assured her ex that AJ had been sedated and couldn’t talk. Jax caught Courtney stalking out of the elevator and she gave him a flimsy excuse about visiting Michael and a broken candy machine when he asked where she’d been. Reese met Sonny outside Michael’s room and he assured her he had things under control. Meanwhile, in the Room of Apparent Murder, Carly dropped the pillow and ran. Durant spotted her fleeing and stood in the open doorway like the 2001 monolith, staring at Very Unconscious AJ. Later, Steven was strolling by and realized that it was Code Blue time in room 726…while Ric noticed the fallen pillow and a syringe. Elsewhere, Reese and Sonny talked about Michael like Reese had actually spent more than five minutes with the boy and an erratic Carly ran in to see him. Back down in the ER, Emily brought up Alan being the “silly bear!” at her adopted dad’s bedside and then Monica’s pager tolled for AJ. Meanwhile, Jason was finally getting some treatment in a tragically un-gaping hospital gown and Captain Obvious (Sam) noted that he didn’t look all that surprised at the news of AJ’s condition.
Although Steven and his code team gave saving AJ the old college try, Monica arrived and asked him to call the Time of Death. So, he did: 10:51 p.m. Monica asked for time alone with her only biological son, untying his hands, kissing him, and speaking of her regrets as a parent. “I would teach you to like yourself,” she whispered. Slightly less touching was Sam, downstairs, offering Jason an alibi in case he needed it. Aw, how romantic! And, then, Emily came in and informed the twosome that AJ was pushing up tulips. FBI agent-turned-child psychologist Reese and Sonny watched from outside as Carly and Michael both stared blankly into space in Michael’s room and then Ric walked up and told them that AJ had bought the farm. “It sounds like justice to me,” Sonny growled. Courtney wasn’t feeling too sad either as she complained about AJ making her life miserable. Luckily, Jax was sympathetic…or just transfixed by the low-cut blouse that Courtney probably stole from Sam’s cleavage-y closet. Up the Room of Successful Homicide, Monica tried to deny Steven’s sensible request for an autopsy but had to cave when Steven’s request was backed up by Ric and Reese. After somewhat uncharitably thanking God that at least one of her big brothers was okay, Emily ‘fessed up to a crushed Alan that AJ had kicked the bucket. Outside Michael’s room, Sonny was doing the same to a less crushed and more incoherent Carly. The relieved pair danced on AJ’s grave for a bit as Ric informed them of the autopsy and observed that there were suspects galore for a good old-fashioned murder mystery. Courtney and her inappropriate décolletage found Jason and thanked him for saving her from married life with AJ while Durant tried to offer his help to Carly in the Chapel of Convenient Promises to God.
In Alan’s cubicle (can’t the poor man have a real room?), Monica told Alan that AJ had died in his sleep and spoke of her moments with him as well as how he’d been growing up. Back at the nurses’ station, Elizabeth told Ric about the sedative she’d administered and they chatted briefly about Alexis. Ric called a number on a Mysterious Crumpled Paper…Alexis’s hotel phone number. And he discovered she never checked in! Meanwhile, over at the happy funhouse that was Michael’s room, Sonny was telling him that AJ got voted off the island and a googly-eyed Reese watched from outside and sighed, probably picking out china patterns. Shortly after, Sonny emerged, upset that Michael had been so affected by the news and bringing up his own troubled childhood. “I gotta look at the bright side. It’s over. AJ’s dead,” he murmured as Reese wondered who to pick as her Maid of Honor. Back down in Trauma, a hovering Sam was brushed aside from her Florence Nightingale duties when Carly arrived desperately needing to talk to Jason. The hitman instantly forgot his live-in girlfriend as he asked what Carly had done. She’d threatened AJ, she admitted to her old friend. And she’d gone back to the room later. Uh-oh. Interrupting her moment with Sonny was Reese’s pager. The autopsy report was in! Everyone converged at the 7th floor nurses’ station as Steven grimly told Monica what everyone and their fourth cousin all ready knew: “AJ didn’t die from the fall. He was murdered.”
Monday, April 25, 2005
Replaying Friday’s ending in the Q. mansion foyer, it was brother versus brother with Jason and AJ struggling and falling as their loved ones looked on. Reese called 911 as Monica knelt to give medical attention while Michael took the opportunity to bolt out the door as a frantic Carly quickly followed. Lucky for the indestructible Jason, AJ broke his fall. Not so lucky for AJ, he appeared to have broken his back. Meanwhile, somewhere else in the mansion, Emily finally remembered her medical training, screaming for help as she gave Alan CPR. As the EMTs came in the front door, looking for a male in his late 50s shot in the back, Monica realized that Alan had been shot and they left immobile and agonized AJ behind. Monica reassured Em that she’d done fine as the EMTs pulled out their trusty defib paddles and revived Alan. Back in the foyer, AJ was still face down on the carpet as Reese traded barbs with him and then questioned Sam and Jason about the fall from grace. “You are nothing,” Jason told AJ coldly, ignoring the feisty Fed. Out by the Q. boathouse, Carly and Sonny found Michael hiding behind a low wall. Sonny tried to give the boy the skinny on AJ and Jason’s struggle but Michael insisted that Jason tried to kill AJ on Sonny’s orders. At the hospital, Ric gave Courtney and Jax the summary of events happening in Courtney’s own family that she should’ve known anyway. Downstairs, Alan was brought in to the ER with Em and Monica and a weak Alan insisted on seeing AJ. Across town, Skye came into the mansion and got a quick update on the wacky shenanigans of the day as Reese read a stretchered AJ his rights. Skye then read AJ the riot act. “I don’t even know you anymore,” she told her once-confidante. At the boathouse, Sonny swore, with God as his witness, that he’d never be hungry again…er…that he didn’t order Jason to kill AJ. Michael yelled at him and brought up the meathook, screaming that he wanted his real dad. As Carly tried to reach him, Reese interrupted and told Michael that AJ was alive and offered to take him to the hospital. A baffled Carly and Sonny were wounded by their son’s outright rejection.
At the hospital, a very cute and previously unseen Dr. O’Donnell took Michael for a check-up as Reese shared with Ric that Michael was probably suffering from Stockholm Syndrome. She urged Sonny and Carly to give Michael space while she debriefed him and he built back his trust. Meanwhile, AJ was finally brought in to the ER. Em and Monica worried if the barely-scratched Jason was okay even though AJ was right there while an orderly pushed AJ’s gurney next to Alan’s. “Why did you shoot me?” Alan asked. AJ said he panicked, pleaded with Alan not to shut him out, and to tell the police that Jason shot him. “No, AJ, no more lies, no more covering,” said Alan, telling him to face the consequences. Upstairs on the 7th floor, Courtney was determined to go down and see AJ despite Jax’s misgivings. As Dr. O’Cutie reported on Michael’s condition, Reese talked to the boy about AJ and Faith’s unholy alliance and played the manufactured Sonny tape for him, assuring, “It was a trick, Sweetheart.” A restless Carly wanted to be the one inside telling Michael the truth. “According to AJ, we’re all a bunch of thieves and liars,” growled Sonny, the mob kingpin. Ric, the one time kidnapper, assured his brother that AJ would be punished for his misdeeds. Back down in the ER, Jason calmed a freaked out Sam and she declared her love. As they hugged, Courtney arrived and got yet another situation update. Update Mode continued when Steven came out of Trauma 1 to tell them all that he anticipated AJ making a full recovery. Courtney ever-so-kindly offered to go tell AJ the good news. Sonny arrived back downstairs and he filled Jason in on Michael’s distance. In Trauma 1, a surly Courtney and an unrepentant AJ traded insults and threats. “You are the loser and I’m free,” she insisted. AJ assured her, ominously, that as long as he was alive, he’d find a way to make her life Hell. Up in Michael’s room, Reese told Michael that Sonny is a good man who loves him and that Carly loves him, too. Michael wasn’t too distant to thank her for her candor. Outside, Carly didn’t want to bend to Reese’s request for space and she raged about AJ and his lies as Michael listened at the door.
Meanwhile, back at the busiest room in the hospital, AJ tried to snow Ric, who didn’t buy it. Holy Panic Room, Batman. Ric wasn’t happy when he realized AJ was intent on an insanity defense (what’s next, running for D.A.?) and told the waiting gang outside exactly that, saying that with his history of emotional problems, he could probably pull it off. Reese magically appeared downstairs and the gang talked about how Michael might have to testify if AJ pulled the insanity defense. Courtney appeared at Carly’s side, telling her to trust her maternal instincts and Carly entered Michael’s room. Over in AJ’s room, the down-but-not-out Alan Junior was taunting a seething Sonny about Michael. “He knows what a piece of garbage you are,” he sniped, adding, “Who’s on the meathook now? How’s it feel?” Sonny lashed out that he’d saved Michael and that “I’ll go on saving him, no matter what it takes.” In the ER, as Sam hovered and worried over Jason, Monica took a moment to tell him she loved both her sons and then she went into AJ’s room (once Sonny vacated it) and told him the same thing. Outside, Emily and Jason chatted briefly and as AJ was being moved to his own room, Emily yelled at AJ, saying she wished he were dead. Back upstairs, Sonny and Carly tried to reassure Michael that they loved him and would always be there for him. And Rachel was waiting for AJ in his room. As her ex-lover pleaded for her to cover for him, she spat, “Read my lips, AJ…never!” Steven interrupted, coming in to tie AJ down to prevent excess motion. Elsewhere in the hospital, Alan apologized to Jason for helping AJ, but begged the hitman to spare him. “You were my son once as well, Jason. I want you to promise me that you won’t kill your brother.” Jason remained silent. Not so silent was Carly, who popped up in Grand Central Terminal…er…AJ’s room. More threats were traded and she even outright promised to kill him in the middle of the night some night. Elizabeth arrived on the heels of the threat with a sedative, which panicked AJ. As it should have, since the cavalcade of suspects for his murder was lining up. A wistful Monica at Alan’s bedside remembered back when “our son was such a beautiful boy.” In the lobby, Emily told Elizabeth that she wished AJ had died in the fall. On the other side of the nurses’ station, Courtney raged to Jax that AJ “should be put down like a rabid dog.” Nearby, Jason sent Sam to get some water, looking cold and determined after receiving news of Michael’s withdrawal. In a shadowy corner, Sonny walked away from Reese’s paltry assurances of justice with a glint in his eye. And, then, In AJ’s dark hospital room, the door opened. A pillow was strategically lying on the floor. AJ opened his eyes to his killer, quipping with a smile that he had something to say…just as the pillow came down…
