Galen Gering Back To DAYS!

DAYS’s Galen Gering, whose Rafe will leave town with Gabi next week, is coming back to the soap with a new contract when they resume production in September, reports ew.com. The actor first revealed that he was out back in late January on a podcast, The Cliff Dorman Show, noting, “I mean, the fact of the matter is … I don’t know how long I’m gonna be on the show, what the next chapter holds, right? If I’m staying, if I’m going. I know I’m definitely going for a bit…. I’m definitely going for a bit and I’m really excited about [it] … I’m going to go back for a bit and, uh, spread the wings…. I’ve got a couple of weeks of shows to do [to wrap it up].” The actor, who started his soap career as PASSIONS’s Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald from 1999-2008, then joined the cast of DAYS that year as Rafe Hernandez, was reflective of his career so far. “Look, I’ve worked hard and I’m good at what I do…. But with that said, I’ve also been very lucky,” he admitted. “I realize that. I’ve seen a million people come and go.” But he was looking for- ward to seeing what would come next, albeit with mixed feelings. “It’s exciting. It is,” he offered. “Obviously it’s not that simple…. I think one has a multitude of emotions.”
