Former DAYS Star Nabs Big Role
DAYS OF OUR LIVES alum Ashley Benson (ex-Abby; Hanna, PRETTY LITTLE LIARS) has been cast in the big screen feature, Spring Breakers, also starring James Franco (Franco, GENERAL HOSPITAL). Deadline Hollywood reports that Emma Roberts was previously attached to the role, but two weeks ago, she stepped away, opening the door for Benson's casting. The film, directed by Harmony Korine, also stars Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens. In the film, four college-age girls rob a fast food restaurant to gain cash for a spring break trip. Franco plays a drug and arms dealer who persuades them to kill his rival. Shooting is expected to begin February 12.
