Weekly: Have you heard any buzz at all?
Kristen: No. I hear buzz that people have loved my work for so long that they just want to see me win. That’s what I have heard.Weekly: What’s it like being up against your co-stars Kathy Brier (Marcie) and Heather Tom (Kelly)?
Kristen: It’s hard because I really respect her, but I want to win and so does she. I would love to win because I feel like I have given blood to this medium. I have really worked my tail off.Weekly: So it is a little more than just being nominated? You want to win.
Kristen: Sure. Well it’s great to be nominated. But it’s great to win, too (laughs). Believe me. Now I can put in my bio “Emmy-nominated.” Which I was a little embarrassed that I couldn’t do before, so at least I can do that. Weekly: Who will be going with you to the Emmys?
Kristen: Brian Sheridan (her fiance).Weekly: Now do you have your outfit?
Kristen: I have the dress picked out, but it’s got to be fixed and made into the dress that I know it could be. I got it at Bloomingdale’s. I am just going to say it’s blue. A beautiful shade of blue. This year I had to wear a long dress. It’s not long at the moment but it will be. I had to get two of them.Weekly: How about shoes?
Kristen: They had to be dyed. I had them already. I was saving them for an occasion.Weekly: And how about your hair?
Kristen: Don’t know yet. It depends on the weather. My hair is extremely wavy. I like to wear it straight, but if it’s humid it can be touchy.Weekly: So you’re set!
Kristen: I am nervous. And you know, the one thing I haven’t done is thought about the people I want to thank and that could take up 20 minutes. I like to leave everything to chance — except the names — and say whatever comes into my head.
