YOUNG AND RESTLESS’s Kate Linder (Esther) and her husband, Ron, recently traveled to Ukraine to visit her stepson’s fiancée. “Jon is engaged to a young girl, Nika. We hadn’t met her, so we decided we would go over and check out the situation,” laughs the actress. She lives in Ivano-Frankivsk, which is a 12-hour train ride from [the capital,] Kiev. It’s like going back one hundred years.”
