Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth), who attended the weekend with her husband Michael Saucedo (ex-Juan), was unabashedly appreciative to the fans, telling them, “It’s because of you guys that we get to wake up every day and do what we love, so I don’t think there’s ever enough gratitude to express. We can’t thank you enough.”
Adrianne Leon (Brook Lynn) hopes to work more with Ryan Carnes (Lucas; Justin, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES) in the coming months, saying, “I love Ryan. He’s really fun, and I hope they give Lucas and Brook Lynn some kind of closure. He was her first kiss, and if she can’t get it together with Diego, it could make for some really interesting storyline possibilities.”
Larry Poindexter (ex-Dr. Thomas) admitted that when he first arrived, he was a bit intimidated by Maurice Benard, “But he was very warm. Oddly enough, the person that I thought that I would be intimidated by when I showed up on set was Stuart Damon . But he was incredibly friendly.”
OPRAH’s Wildest Dreams winner Paolo Presta (Doug), who landed a summer gig on GH, shared, “My family [based in Illinois] came to L.A. for the first time this weekend. My dad is so proud of me. My dad and mom are from Italy. They came to America to start a business with their kids, and to have one kid [leave] the store, it was hard. But they’re so happy for me. I just take it a day at a time. I’m living it, having fun and thanking God. I’m so blessed.”
Bergen Williams (Big Alice) was tickled when a viewer relayed a “Hello” message to her from former on-screen partner in crime Robin Mattson (ex-Heather). “That’s so sweet!” she exclaimed. “We had a lot of fun in those scenes. She’s a terrific actress.”
Kari Wuhrer (Reese) admitted that even after all this time on the show, she was still a little apprehensive about meeting the fans: “I am kind of nervous because there are a lot of Carly and Alexis fans that might want to see Reese maimed or hurt [laughs]. But so far, the response has been great.”
For Wally Kurth (Ned), the weekend was all about fundraising. “We did a Bingo night and raised about $1,600 for the Kurth and Taylor Foundation,” the actor enthused. “Which will be enough to buy two fun centers for the Starlight Starbright Foundation, so that was a big success. And we had another successful [Kurth and Taylor] concert where we raised about another $3,000, so it was a great weekend all around.”
When asked who had the best dish on the show, John J. York (Mac) was quick to quip, “I am the biggest gossip on the show. It’s me!”
