Exclusive: Dominic Zamprogna Reveals Why He Left GH
In the new issue of Soap Opera Digest, Dominic Zamprogna speaks exclusively to the magazine about his decision to exit GH after a 9-year run as Dante; his final episode aired on June 28. “It’s been the most important time of my life and the most meaningful time of my life,” says the actor. Ultimately, though, Zamprogna felt in his gut that it was time to “take a risk and roll the dice,” noting, “Staying again, while it would’ve been an easier choice to make, would’ve been a comfortable choice — and for that reason I went the other way.” He discusses whether there was anything the show could have done to dissuade him, why his last day on set reduced him to tears, whether he’d consider a return in the future, what the support of the fans means to him and much more in this can’t-miss interview.
