Delila Dattilo, Daughter Of DAYS’s Bryan Dattilo, Lands Role On General Hospital

The Next Generation: Bryan Dattilo’s daughter, Delila, is following in his soapy footsteps.
Delila Dattilo, the 10-year-old daughter of Days of Our Lives fave Bryan R. Dattilo (Lucas) and his wife, Elizabeth Cameron, will appear on an upcoming episode of General Hospital. Her proud pop broke the news on Instagram, exclaiming, “A Dattilo was spotted in Port Charles. Finally a real soap star in the family.#GH#DOOL.” Soap Opera Digest has confirmed with a GH rep that the young actress will be appearing in scenes set in Rice Plaza, always a bustling spot during the holiday season on the show.
In a 2022 interview with Digest, Dattilo talked about how delighted he was that his daughter was following in his thespian footsteps. “My daughter, the next soap star,” he joked, adding that he would love to see her land on DAYS. “I’d hope, someday.” The actor noted, “We just put a picture of her on Instagram with the Soap Opera Digest cover. We put glasses on her and wrote, ‘Future soap star gets the summer scoop,’ and it’s gone crazy.” Dattilo even played amateur casting director. “She’d be a great Arianna,” he says, referring to Lucas’s on-screen granddaughter, the child of Will and Gabi.
Delila had already begun to accrue acting credits. Dattilo reported, “She’s done a lot of acting already. She’s done four or five commercials. She’s made more money than I did [when I was younger]…. When I was 18, I didn’t make that much money.”
The veteran soap star said he was always available to help his daughter. “We run lines all the time. She has more interviews than I do. I’ve actually had auditions with her for father/daughter stuff. They always want her. They never want me,” he deadpanned. But the actor clarified that Delila didn’t need much assistance. He declared, “She memorizes so well. She’s great with dialogue. It’s amazing. And it’s not only just dialogue, it’s also songs, TV shows … She memorizes everything. And she really likes [acting], too. She doesn’t mind being on a set all day, which is kind of half the battle with a kid.”
Delila’s entrance into show biz was actually instigated by her mom, though. “Liz has done background work for years,” Dattilo explained. “She thought she’d get Delila into background work, too. That’s how it started. Then Delila started doing principal stuff and commercials. She has about two auditions a week, which is a lot, and she likes it. She’s into it. She has an agent. She has it all.”
Predicted Delila’s dad, “She’s going to be so much bigger than I am. She’s going to have a huge career.”
In a 2023 interview with Digest, Dattilo talked about how Delila’s acting interests had expanded during the production strikes going on that year. “She wasn’t able to book anything during the strike, so she got into theater, which she loves,” shared Dattilo. “She did Seussical: The Musical and Bye Bye Birdie. She is really into musical theater and rehearsing. She doesn’t get tired of it. She sings and dances and knows all the numbers. I’m not pushing her at all. I would never force my daughter to be an actress or even want her to be one, really. But she just loves it so much. She has a passion for it.”
