DAYS’S KATE MANSI UPDATE
Kate Mansi (Abigail, DAYS), who had emergency laproscopic surgery for internal bleeding, which forced her to miss scheduled performances of the play If All The Sky Were Paper and some episodes of the soap, is on the mend. The actress says that she got a pick-me-up from on-screen mom Melissa Reeves (Jennifer), who visited her on March 14th, which was also Reeves’s birthday.
“Missy insisted on visiting when I returned home to my family’s house to recover,” Mansi tells Digest exclusively. “She said, ‘I have to see at least one of my children on my birthday’ since her family was out of town. We made sure Missy had a birthday wish and a piece of her country home with some apple pie and candles. Missy’s visit was the first time I really felt like the worst was over — she made me laugh so much that night. I am now focusing on positivity and progress. The healing power of a mother’s love is really somethin’.”
Because of the show’s filming schedule, Mansi will not be absent on-screen.
