At the diner, Steve joined Kate, Chelsea and Billie at a table. Steve remarked that he hadn’t seen Billie around. She said she had been home a lot, being a single mother. Kate praised Billie, who asked her to stop. Billie advised Chelsea not to take relationship advice from Grandma Kate. Chelsea left and Kate went with her to let Steve and Billie spend some time together. Once alone, Steve asked Billie if she was interested in dessert. They shared a piece of devil’s food cake. Steve was very flirty. Billie told him that she likes him, but what about Kayla? He said he planned to ask Kayla for a divorce. Billie was stunned. “Call me crazy, but I think we missed a few steps here,” she said. He told her she wasn’t the reason he decided to end things with Kayla. He came and sat next to her, then kissed her. Chelsea walked in, saw them and made a hasty exit.
Max and his niece, Stephanie, got hot and heavy in the sauna. Stephanie was excited to be kissing him. She said she wanted food, so they went back to the garage, had Chinese food and flirted wildly. He taught her how to use chopsticks. After, they talked about Steve and how confusing it all was for her.
At the hospital, Shawn, Hope, Bo and Philip waited to hear news about Belle. “How did this happen,” Shawn asked. “How the hell do you think it happened,” responded Philip, who then pointed out that Belle’s cramps started after Shawn served them with custody papers. An argument ensued: Bo tried to mediate. Hope intervened and told them not to make things harder than they already were. The doctor came over and said that Belle’s blood pressure was still elevated and that she couldn’t get stressed out. Shawn went into see her, to Phil’s chagrin. He found her crying. She confessed that she was scared the was going to lose their baby. He hugged her and told her he felt very close to the baby. He put his hand on her abdomen. “That’s my kid,” Shawn said. “That’s our kid,” she corrected. He then spoke to the baby in utero. After, he and Belle looked at the sonogram printout.
Back in the waiting area, Philip had a heart-to-heart with Bo and Hope about Claire and how he felt about the whole situation. He went into see Belle and it was awkward between them because of Shawn, but Phil insisted he would love the baby as much as he loves Claire. “You, Claire and this baby mean everything to me,” he told her.
Bonnie met Mimi at Shawn and Belle’s, where Mimi revealed that Belle had cramps and she was stuck babysitting Claire. “I hate the way I’ve been acting,’ admitted Mimi. “You’re not a bad person,” Bonnie insisted. Bonnie then gave her tips on how to hold onto Shawn. The women went to Mimi’s apartment with the baby monitor in hand to get things cooking for a night of seduction. Bonnie made an aphrodisiac soup, then suggested Mimi show more cleavage. Claire began to cry, so the two went back across the hall, leaving the baby monitor behind. Shawn came home and found the Kiriakises door locked. Mimi and Bonnie were upstairs, where Claire wouldn’t stop crying. Bonnie realized she was getting a tooth. Shawn went home and through the monitor, heard Claire crying —and Mimi and Bonnie talking. “If Shawn ever found out that I’ve known all along that Claire is his daughter, he’d never forgive me,” Mimi announced. Shawn was stunned.
