Jennifer invited Hope over to request her help in planning a party for Jack. Meanwhile in the kitchen, Frankie caught Jack fighting to stand up. He made him promise not to tell Jen that he was ailing. Frankie and Hope offered to organize the party so Jack and Jen could have as much time together as possible. They took advantage of the opportunity and headed to the airport were they watched a video scrapbook of their lives Jack had put together. Back at the Deverauxes Hope revealed to Frankie that Jen never stopped loving him. Frankie revealed to her that Jack wanted him to stay in town to take care of Jennifer. Both agreed that Jack would be irreplaceable in Jen’s heart, but Hope stressed that Frankie could be the key to Jen’s happiness.
Lucas was less than pleased when Eugenia showed up at his door with an announcement. Victor had hired her as his assistant. Lucas warned her that if anything were to go on behind his back, she would be out of a job. Across the hall Austin filled Nicole and Sami in on his plan for their company. Clear Visage a new face cream designed by a chemist named Dr. Schnitzel would revolutionize the cosmetics industry. Nicole jumped at the chance to show off her marketing skills leaving Sami out in the cold. While blowing off steam in the hall, Sami “overheard” Lucas telling Eugenia about Clear Visage. “The walls have ears,” she said, spotting Sami outside. Furious with Lucas for hiring the woman that ruined their lives, Sami vowed to take Austin’s company to the top at the expense of Titan. In the process she blurted out that Dr. Schnitzel was in Salem. Nicole and Austin were furious when they found out she revealed a critical piece of information to the competition. “Fire her now!” Nicole demanded. Sami pleaded for another chance from Austin who relented, but warned her it would be the last. Lucas was able to snag a meeting with Dr. Schnitzel, but Nicole had a plan to beat him at his own game.
Breakfast was tense at Kate’s with John and Alex sitting across the table from each other. Alex was sure that with the information he had given Marlena she’d choose to spend her future with him. Kate and Roman had a bitter argument when he showed up with divorce papers. John informed him that they must do everything in their power to get Alex out of Marlena’s life. Soon after Marlena called and asked John over to the penthouse, and to bring everyone with him. “We need to get to the bottom of this once and for all.” With everyone gathered, Marlena explained that her memories were sketchy at best, but she claimed to be ready to make a decision. ” I know the person I’m meant to spend my life with.”
