An ice storm was brewing in Salem…
Mimi arrived home with some wine for her date with Shawn. Shawn came home tired from work and jumped in the shower. Mimi feared her date with Shawn was ruined. He asked her to bring him a towel and he pulled her — clothes and all — into the shower with him and they made out. Alas, it was only a dream.
Across the hall, Philip, the wonder husband, was making an Italian dinner for Belle when he got severe leg pains. Philip said it wasn’t a big deal and he’s been keeping it from Belle for a while. Belle started to feel better and he revealed he brought sparkling cider home for her. She opened up a cupboard to get classes and spied a framed photo of her and Shawn. She quickly hid it and they toasted to their family. They realized they had extra food and decided to invite Shawn and Mimi over. Mimi was in her room when Belle knocked on the door, so Shawn opened it in his towel. Shawn thought with the ice storm coming, having dinner in might be a good idea. They agreed and as Shawn went to change, Belle apologized to Mimi for interrupting their date. Later, Philip and Belle opened up the door as Shawn and Mimi were making out in the hallway.
Billie found Frankie outside of Jack and Jennifer’s as she was looking for Georgia. She sat with Frankie and they talked about Jack and Jennifer’s situation and she revealed Jack told her about his plan for Frankie/Jennifer. Frankie was torn about using Jack’s death for his gain, but Billie said Jack had given him his permission. Inside the house, Jack and Jennifer were in bed. Jack was awake holding his pill bottles and Jennifer woke up. They discussed his impending death and kissed. Jennifer fell asleep and Jack reached for the pills, secretly coming to terms with his impending suicide. Jennifer went to get him cranberry juice and Jack struggled with taking the whole bottle of pills. Downstairs, Jennifer invited Billie and Frankie inside and they shared that Abby and Chelsea weren’t home. Jack came downstairs and Jack told Frankie and Jen to go look for the girls. Jen went upstairs to change and Jack told Billie and Frankie to look out for Jennifer once he was gone. Jack was struggling physically as Jennifer and Frankie went to leave. Jack told Jennifer he loved her, they kissed and she left. Jack was sad because he never got to say goodbye to Abigail and Billie asked him what was going wrong. Billie freaked when he revealed he had taken all the pills and she went to call 911 when Jack collapsed.
Marlena told John that she was still Alex’s wife so her marriages to Roman and John were invalid. John wondered why it took Alex so long to come for Marlena. He said Marlena had moved on and was happy with Roman and her kids and feared pushing their memories would hurt Marlena. He went on to study amnesia and realized there was no instant cure and that they have to treat both bouts of amnesia together. John accused him of being on DiMera’s payroll, but Alex denied it. Marlena wanted to talk to Alex alone so John and Kate went out on the terrace. Kate believed Alex’s claims and John would have to accept it. Kate stopped him from going back in and attacking Alex. Alex and Marlena shared a steamy kiss and a tearful Marlena didn’t know what to think. Alex tried to reassure her how much he loved her. Marlena asked to speak with John alone. Kate told Alex he waited too long to come back to Marlena and he said she shouldn’t give up on John.
