Abby invites Chelsea to go on vacation with her and her family. When Chelsea frets that she doesn’t have any camping gear, Billie offers to buy whatever she needs. Instead of saying thanks, Chelsea asks Billie, “What’s wrong with you?” Abby leaves Chelsea and Billie to talk. Billie explains that she had it rough growing up. Her dad was an abusive alcoholic, who told her and her brother that their mother was dead. Billie wishes she’d had someone to talk to. It would have helped. That’s why she wants to be there for Chelsea. When Abby returns, Chelsea agrees to go on vacation with her.
As Jack and Jennifer prepare for the trip, Jennifer wonders if Jack’s up for it, considering he passed out twice and was just in the hospital. Jack assures her he’s fine. Lexie arrives and says the results of Jack’s second blood test have provided no answers to what’s causing his dizziness. So Lexie sent Jack’s blood work off for further evaluation. When Jennifer goes to tend to Jack Jr., Lexie warns Jack that his condition might be serious. Jack insists Lexie not worry Jennifer with that. Lexie gives Jack pills in case he gets dizzy again and advises him NOT to drive. Jennifer returns after Lexie leaves, and Jack attempts to convince her he’s fit as a fiddle by getting frisky.
Sami and Lucas are on John’s plane and ready to leave for Salem. Lucas wishes he could settle the score with Stan before they go. Stan did almost kill all of them. Sami, who IS Stan, says she doubts they’ll see him again. Brady arrives and says that Chloe is alive. Tony told him so, AND Brady heard her voice on the phone. Lucas is more shocked to hear that Tony escaped, again. Brady tells Lucas that as soon as Chloe said hello, Nicole snatched the phone away from her and he can’t imagine why. Lucas does. Nicole would do anything to keep Chloe out of the picture.
In the hospital, Nicole tells Chloe not to freak out just because Brady heard her voice on the phone. Once Brady gets back to Salem, Nicole will convince him it was all a figment of his imagination. Chloe takes a nap, and Nicole fantasizes about suffocating her. When Chloe awakens, she insists Nicole help her keep Brady from learning she’s alive. Nicole doubts they’ll be able to pull it off, since Brady will be determined to find Chloe. Nicole’s cell phone rings. It’s Stan/Sami. Now that Brady knows Chloe’s alive, Sami is worried there will be hell to pay if Nicole carried out their plan to hurt Chloe. Nicole says the matter has already been tended to and Sami freaks. Nicole finishes her call and informs Chloe that it’s over. Brady is on his way back to Salem to reunite with Chloe.
John receives a call from Shane, letting him know that the Fearless Foursome and Sami are about to head home. He shares the news with Marlena, Roman and Kate. The only one who won’t be aboard is Philip, because he’s back in combat. Belle arrives, hysterical, and explains she was just on the phone with Philip; then, she heard an explosion and the line went dead. Kate sobs thinking her son might be dead. Roman assures Kate that Philip’s “a tough soldier” and that they need to stay positive. Belle sniffles and blames herself for Philip being in danger, but Marlena assures her it’s not her fault. Kate insists it IS Belle’s fault. Shawn and Philip are both in jeopardy because of her fickleness. Marlena and John defend Belle, but Kate swears she’ll never forgive Belle if anything happens to Philip. John receives another call, but there’s still no word on Philip.
Back at the Marine base, Shawn is told there’s no way to contact Philip, since his radio went dead. Meanwhile, Philip lies motionless on the ground. Although a unit has been deployed to find him, Shawn insists he’s going after Philip himself. A Marine grabs Shawn and promises to arrest him if he interferes with a military operation. Word finally comes through on the base radio, and Shawn asks if Philip is alive. The Marine says the minefields are dangerous. There wasn’t much they could do.
