Abby met Chelsea at the pub and showed her a copy of The Intruder with Chelsea plastered all over it. “You’re supposed to be sorry about what happened…Partying at clubs isn’t really the way to convince Salem,” scolded Abby. Chelsea said she couldn’t let Bo see the tabloid.
Meanwhile, Bo insisted that Chelsea’s fate was up to the courts and that he wasn’t going to lose his marriage over it. Billie noted that their daughter had learned her lesson over Zack’s death and that she was sure they’d see a whole new side of Chelsea soon. Just then, Bo caught a glimpse of The Intruder and flipped out. On cue, Chelsea arrived with Abby and said she could explain. Bo wasn’t interested. Zack wasn’t even cold in his grave and she was already out partying. Bo stormed off, and Billie
asked Abby to leave her and Chelsea alone. Billie blasted Chelsea. Then, she told her about Hope’s text message, saying that she’d be back in time for Chelsea’s trial, and how Bo planned to support his wife. Chelsea urged Billie to do whatever she had to do — like “put out” — to get Bo way from Hope. Billie was flabbergasted. Chelsea insisted that Billie HAD to do
this for her, or threatened, “I won’t have a mother anymore.”
Calliope welcomed Shawn and Mimi when they arrived at St. Luke’s for their wedding rehearsal. Soon, Philip and Belle showed up with Claire. Philip noted that the baby had been fussing all day and neither he nor Belle could calm her down. Shawn offered to give Claire her bottle and, presto, she was meek as a little lamb. Mimi left, ran into Bonnie and told her what happened with Shawn and Claire. Of course, the incident set Mimi off on
wanting to confess all about Claire’s paternity. She lost Rex by lying to him and didn’t want history to repeat itself with Shawn.
The wedding rehearsal continued and Shawn and Mimi practiced the “Now you may kiss the bride” part. Bo walked in, and Mimi convinced Shawn to talk to his dad. The father and son squabbled about Shawn proceeding with his nuptials while Hope was out of town and Chelsea about to go on trial. Bo said he was protecting his daughter, just as he would protect Shawn. The Intruder fell out of Bo’s jacket. Shawn saw it and asked if Bo was still defending Chelsea now.
Meanwhile, Calliope suggested that Father Jansen hear confessions before the ceremony. Belle was first in line,
admitting that she loved Shawn more than hubby, Philip. Father Jansen implored Belle to honor her marriage vows and preserve her family. Mimi entered the confessional, next, and told the priest her big secret: Claire is Shawn’s daughter, not Philip’s. Father
Jansen refused to give her absolution unless she ‘fessed up to Shawn. And without absolution he couldn’t marry them in church.
Hope told Patrick she came to Morgan Island to be alone and wanted to leave. Patrick tried to convince her to stay for a few more days. Hope went on about how she thought she could run away
from her problems, but she couldn’t. Then, crying, she blamed herself for what happened to Zack. She should never have taken him on that sleep over. She should have stayed home with him. Patrick convinced Hope to let him take her someplace that might
change her perspective on everything. Patrick took Hope to an orphanage where he volunteered, believing it might do her good to see children. A little boy Zack’s age ran out, said hello to Patrick, and hugged Hope. Then, another boy ran over and began
playing football with the first one. The first boy’s face suddenly morphed into Zack’s, as he caught the ball and fell. The tyke called out for his mommy, as Hope ran to help him. She found
him hanging on a rock over a cliff. Hope grabbed a piece of wood
and tried to reach out to the child, when, suddenly, she began to fall.
