Shawn, Mimi, Philip and Belle went to the fertility clinic. “Who’s ready to harvest some eggs?” cracked Philip. Philip remarked he would do anything to have another child like Claire. Mimi said she just didn’t want Shawn having another child with another woman. Shawn asked what she meant. Mimi backpedaled. The doctor brought Mimi and Belle into the examining room. Philip and Shawn waited outside and discussed what would happen if either couple couldn’t have kids. Shawn said he would adopt, no question. The doctor gathered all four and revealed that they were able to harvest viable eggs from Belle and one from Mimi. Mimi was disappointed. “Why can’t I be lucky like Belle?” she sighed.

Austin and Lucas discussed Carrie’s pregnancy and Lucas and Carrie’s upcoming wedding. They shared a chuckle over the nuptial nightmares they’ve both had in the past with Sami. Lucas asked Austin why he changed his mind about her. “Have you ever heard of people changing?” Austin asked. Lucas chided his brother for believing Sami the schemer had turned into Sami the saint. Lucas apologized to Austin that he got caught in Sami’s web again. “She won’t make you happy,” he warned. Sami overheard and broke down.

Lexie confronted Sami outside the church. Lexie accused Sami of tipping off Abe. Sami vehemently denied it. “It’s your turn to suffer,” Lexie warned. Sami insisted she didn’t tell Abe anything. Lexie said it didn’t matter: Now that Sami didn’t have anything to hold over her head, she was free to reveal that Sami was blackmailing her without worrying about the result.

Jennifer told Jack she was happy to have time to say good-bye to him. Jack expressed his love for Jen. He said he didn’t come back to Salem alone. He told everyone that he came back to town with Steve. “Steve’s been dead for years,” Jen said. No, he’s alive and outside, Jack announced. Jo shed tears of happiness that both of her sons returned to her.

Chelsea admitted to Abby that she answered the phone at the house and a man said he was Jack and he was alive and that so was Steve but she didn’t believe it. “How could you not tell me?” Abby cried.

In the cemetery, Steve and Kayla shared a hot kiss. After, he said the kiss was good, but he still didn’t remember her. He apologized, saying he didn’t know how he could forget her. He said she couldn’t make him into the person she wanted him to be now. His name was Nick Stockton and he was a hospice orderly who was neither a family or marrying man. Kayla pointed out that he would have to know that he would run into family if he returned to Salem. What did he think would happen? He said he was just there to help Jack and was under the impression that she would still be in Los Angeles. Jo came running into Steve’s arms, with the rest of the family behind her. Steve explained to them all that his memory had not returned. He apologized to Jen for interrupting the wedding, then was “introduced” to the whole Brady clan. Frankie told Steve that if it wasn’t for him, he and Max wouldn’t have a family. Hope revealed that she was once in his shoes and didn’t have her memory, either. “Man, this is one whacked out burg you live in here,” Steve whispered to his brother.

Jen encouraged Kayla to stick by Steve. Jo explained their complicated family history to her son…. Bo brought Hope a red rose. They reminisced about their past weddings. Bo asked Hope to give him another chance. “I will spend the rest of my life giving you all my love,” he said softly. She fainted…. Jack told Frankie that if he had known that it was Jen and Frankie’s wedding day, he would have stayed away. Frankie told him to stop; he was happy Jack came back. Jack thanked him for taking care of his family. Jack suddenly got weak and told Frankie he didn’t want his family to remember him that way. Frankie rushed to get Lexie. Lexie suggested Jack go to the hospital. No, said Jack, “I want to go home.” Steve offered to come with them. Kayla did, too, but Steve said no, they could handle it and he’d “see her around.” Frankie comforted a devastated Kayla. “Looks like nobody gets a happy ending,” she remarked sadly. Frankie yanked off his boutonniere and threw it down on the ground.
