Tek and Lexie’s rendezvous was cut short when Lexie stopped him. She was tired of all the lying. Tek calmed her down and they continued their love session. Back at the Brady Pub, Abe called the hospital looking for Lexie but she wasn’t there. He began to worry. He then found an envelope addressed to him, left by the mysterious gloved figure. He opened it up and walked out of the pub with no explanation. Abe showed up at the hotel, telling a hotel employee he got a note from his wife to meet her there. She handed him the room key and Abe walked in to find Lexie in bed with Tek!

Holly was happy to hear Shawn and Mimi had picked her to be their surrogate. Mimi, on the other hand, was having some hesitations. Philip couldn’t understand how the test could show he had a low sperm count when it was so easy for them to conceive Claire. The fantastic four later arrived at the pub and Shawn was disgusted by Bo’s drunkenness, deciding not to tell him about Mimi’s miscarriage. Shawn and Mimi told Philip and Belle the news about Holly the surrogate and how great she was. More like too great to be true: Holly was also at the pub with a drink in one hand and a cigarette in the other! They confronted Holly. She tried to explain that she just wanted to party one last time before she got pregnant with their baby. Shawn told her she wouldn’t be carrying their baby anymore!

At the pub, Kate inquired about Sami’s whereabouts. Austin explained she didn’t feel comfortable coming. Kate said she didn’t want Austin to get hurt again but he said Sami had changed and to butt out. Kate told Austin and Billie they’d regret not taking her advice. Since Sami didn’t want to go to the pub, E.J. suggested they have a night out as friends. Conveniently, they were standing on the docks where a tango competition was being held. Even more conveniently, E.J. was an expert tango dancer. They put on a great performance, winning the competition and a round of applause, not to mention an A+ from Kate, who was watching from a distance with her scorecard.

Patrick showed up at the pub and a drunk Bo accused him of stealing the evidence as a way to get closer to Hope. Fortunately, Abe and Frankie were able to break it up before their verbal sparring got violent. Billie pulled Patrick aside and told him she believed in Bo’s innocence. Why? So she could get him back? Billie said she wasn’t going to come between Bo and Hope and that Patrick shouldn’t either. Frankie told Bo that Hope signed the divorce papers. Bo told him he had to help stop the divorce proceedings.

Hope and Kayla helped Jennifer take the gifts back to her place. Kayla was having difficulty being back in Salem because of all the memories of Steve. Jen had the perfect remedy: ice cream! Unfortunately ice cream wasn’t what the doctor ordered in Hope’s case. She thanked the two for trying to make her feel better and left. Jen turned on the radio and “The Rose” was playing — Steve and Kayla’s song. Meanwhile, Jack explained to Steve that once he saw his family he would remember his life. The doctor agreed and advised Jack go home because it could be good for him emotionally to say goodbye. Steve and Jack began their journey back to Salem. “The Rose” began playing on the car radio and Steve said he always liked that song but didn’t know why. Jack then pulled out his wallet showing Steve his wedding picture to Kayla. Steve didn’t recognize it. Back at Jen’s, Kayla told Jen about this fantasy she always had of Steve showing up and ringing the doorbell. Talk about foreshadowing — Ding dong! Jen went to answer the door and was shocked by who she found! While walking home alone, Hope was grabbed by the mysterious gloved figure!
