Chelsea was delighted by Max’s surprise: a romantic, candlelit dinner at the Brady Pub, which they had all to themselves. She apologized for flirting with other men at Dune, and explained she got the idea from a magazine article on making guys jealous. She noted that he also plays games, those games being Stephanie. Max insisted that the redhead is only helping him to salvage his wrecked car. When Stephanie showed up, Chelsea seethed while her man playfully sparred with her rival about their racing competition. She got his attention again with a sexy smooch. A defeated Stephanie left and ran into Abby, who shared the news of Jack’s miracle recovery. Stephanie pushed Abby to go tell Chelsea the news (and interrupt her date). Abby reluctantly did so, but Chelsea and Max were very happy for her. Chelsea wasn’t as happy when her pal asked if Stephanie could join their impromptu celebration, but her gracious attitude impressed Max. He promised Chelsea another romantic date. When Stephanie came back in, she got in a few digs about Chelsea to Max. Chelsea kept an eye on them and told Abby she still thinks their cousin is after Max.
On the rooftop, Austin obliged Carrie’s request that he make love to her. EJ spied them, but left before being detected. Meanwhile, Sami and Lucas flipped when they realized that both his wife and her fiancé must be alone together on the roof. They raced out and ran into EJ, who said he’d seen the missing duo, but steered them away from the roof. Thanks to EJ’s insinuation that Lucas was jumping to conclusions about his wife, Sami freaked out and recalled how he wrongly accused her of cheating. She admitted to being insecure, but a peeved Lucas snapped about how that leads her to foolish actions. Realizing they might be making EJ feel awkward, Lucas apologized for the scene. After Lucas went back into the apartment, EJ again suggested that Sami really wants Lucas. Then he got thisclose to Sami and it looked like he might lean in for a kiss, but he just said he’s there for her if she needs him. She returned to Lucas, who expressed his worries about Carrie. He thanked Sami for her support and told his ex that he loves her and wishes he’d seen this side of her when they were together. When he said she’d become the person he always thought she could be, a teary Sami blurted that she’s a total fraud. Back on the roof, Carrie and Austin cooed to each other about their horizontal reunion. EJ interrupted and shocked the lovers with a warning to be more discreet. He told them that he’d prevented their respective mates from catching them in the act. They rushed back to the apartment in time to hear Lucas gently assure Sami her relationship with Austin is solid. Gulp. “This won’t end well” observed EJ.
At the hospital, Shawn pulled away from Belle’s kiss, but she urged him to not deny his feelings. As they kissed again, Mimi arrived at the hospital. She walked in on her husband and best friend in a lip lock, but didn’t let on that she’d seen it. Dr. Ross came in with test results. Belle’s fine, but probably just under stress. After the doctor prescribed new vitamins and left, Mimi suggested Belle call her own husband. Just then, the blabby nurse who’d tipped Mimi off to Shawn and Belle’s smooching, came in with the vitamins and referred to Shawn as the patient’s husband. Mimi announced that she’d seen them kiss and demanded an explanation.
