Before Sami could confess her latest misdeeds to Austin, he told her they’d discuss whatever it is at dinner. Promising her a nice surprise, he hurried out. Across the hall, Carrie asked Lucas if he ever wished it was Sami carrying his child. Actually, yes, he admitted, before pointing out that it’s over between him and Sami. He asked if his bride was having second thoughts, which Carrie denied. Austin walked in and interrupted the newlyweds’ long kiss to ask for some CDs he’d left.
Max, EJ and Stephanie arrived at Salem Speedway, where Philip had been pulled from Max’s totaled car. Stephanie comforted Max with a hug, which Chelsea observed. She summoned Abby for help and admitted that she’d intercepted Stephanie’s call to Max earlier…. After Shawn declared his love to distraught Belle, he tried to stammer an explanation to Mimi. She icily informed him that she and Philip knew exactly what Shawn meant by the remark. Mimi was about to bolt, when there was an explosion. Shawn tended to the missus, but that didn’t get him off the hook. Meanwhile, Philip cried out to Belle that he’d rather die than see her with Shawn. The action moved to the hospital, where Lexie investigated a heavy-breathing Philip. Everything looked treatable she said. Lexie questioned his recklessness, and Philip unloaded about Belle carrying Shawn’s child. In the hallway, an emotional Mimi vented her fears to Shawn, who insisted that the paternity pickle wouldn’t come between them. Belle eavesdropped. After Mimi had walked away, Belle confessed to Shawn that she’s happy to be carrying his baby.
At the garage, Max and Stephanie looked over his car to see if anything could be salvaged. Abby and Chelsea walked in and a dispute ensued. Stephanie accused Chelsea of keeping her call from Max, Chelsea retorted that Stephanie is stalking Max, and mentioned how Stephanie had been secretly watching them at breakfast. Max angrily ordered his girlfriend to get out. She and Abby left, then Chelsea bawled out her friend for not helping. Abby called her out on her games, which gave Chelsea pause for thought.
EJ dropped by Sami’s apartment with news about the accident. When he found out she hadn’t come clean with Austin yet, he reported that her fiancé was at Lucas’s apartment. She burst in as Austin was inviting the newlyweds to dinner that night. Her displeasure turned to shock when the brothers decided that Lucas and Carrie would bunk with Sami and Austin. Afterward, Austin returned to his apartment and invited EJ to dinner, too. Austin went to make preparations, and a shaken Sami embraced EJ. The gloved lurker spied on the two.
Lexie went over some hospital records and let out a yelp. She phoned Carrie, and asked her and Lucas to come to the hospital right away.
