Shawn came back from checking out the cruise ship and went on about it having a fitness center, hot tubs and a kiddie pool. Belle said that none of them were leaving the cabin until the ship docked in Australia. It wasn’t safe with Victor after them. Shawn assured Belle that he’d
protect their family. Belle finally agreed to let Shawn take Claire out, if he followed some rules. Namely, they had to go by the names on
their faux passports and remember that they were from Nova Scotia. Soon, Claire woke up, and Belle realized she was burning up with fever. Belle insisted on calling the ship doctor, who examined Claire and noting that she just had a case a seasickness. The doctor instructed Belle to feed Claire liquids for the next 24 hours and to call him if
her fever spiked. The doctor turned to leave; then, asked for the baby’s passport for his records. Shawn gave it to him, and the doctor noted a problem: there was no immunization stamp.
Sami reveled in masterminding her get-even-with Kate peep show. Kate went after Sami, who gloated, “Now you know what it feels like to be
publicly humiliated!” Kate reminded Sami that EJ was on the video, too, and wouldn’t be happy. Billie scolded EJ for sleeping with her mom. She
thought he was interested in Sami. EJ said he was, until she reconciled with Lucas. Billie took off to find Sami and scolded her for her
actions. Sami explained why she’d acted out: Kate had set her up with a fake reality TV show. In the interim, EJ consoled Kate, who worried
about becoming the laughing stock of Wall Street. EJ assured she wouldn’t be, then addressed the reporters. “How many of you thought that was me up there on the screen? How many of you thought it was my
colleague Kate Roberts?” he asked. After a show of hands, EJ explained it was all courtesy of groundbreaking new CGI Technology that would
bring real-time, real-life animation to the business community.
Meanwhile, Sami warned Billie about EJ again. And Billie accused Sami of having “the hots” for EJ again. Sami insisted she loved Lucas. Then
she became ill and headed to the bathroom. EJ came out and told Billie that he hoped his liaison with Kate wouldn’t deter her from doing business with him. “Just as long as we get one thing clear first. I will not be joining my mother on your trophy wall,” asserted Billie. EJ rejoined Kate, and Sami returned looking sickly. Billie
realized she was pregnant. Sami admitted it was true and that only Kate and her dad knew. Billie found it odd that Sami wasn’t rubbing Kate’s
face in the news…unless Lucas wasn’t the daddy. Sami insisted she’d never been unfaithful, and Billie apologized. EJ and Kate emerged, and Kate noted that everything had been fixed, so Lucas still had a job. Sami left, as EJ remarked how terrible she looked. Alone with Billie, Kate warned her not to get involved with EJ. Billie thanked Kate for the maternal concern, but said she didn’t take orders from her.
Steve complained to Kayla about his new home at the hospital psych ward. Kayla assured him that he could handle it. Steve was the strongest person she knew. Dr. Beal arrived, and Steve’s hypnosis session got under way. The doctor began making a tapping sound and asked Steve to think back to the first time he’d heard it. Steve recalled being strapped down and receiving electric shock treatments. He remembered EJ
standing over him with the Devil Tarot card murmuring, “You’re one of us now.” Dr. Beal ended the session, and Steve woke up. The doctor
played back the tape, but Steve insisted he didn’t recall anything. When Steve headed to the bathroom, Kayla and Dr. Beal agreed that Steve
had suppressed memories of being tortured. When Steve returned, he wanted to leave. Kayla and Dr. Beal reminded him that he had to stay or
his bail would be revoked. Kayla bid Steve goodbye and left. Alone, Steve went to work loosening the screws holding the bars on his window. Upon removing them, he opened the window and slipped out.
