Sami introduced EJ to potential sponsors for Mythic’s race teams as
Lucas watched. EJ spotted Lucas and invited him in, but he declined. Lucas also declined EJ’s invitation to join them for dinner. He was
just there to protect Sami. EJ deduced that Sami didn’t know Lucas was there and would be furious if she found out. It meant Lucas didn’t trust her. EJ challenged Lucas to show his face to Sami, while Lucas
called EJ on his plans to ply Sami with champagne and get her into bed. EJ told Lucas he could leave, and he’d never breathe a word to Sami about him being there. Lucas left, warning EJ to keep his hands off Sami. Sami joined EJ and asked who he was talking to. “Lucas,” he told her. Sami seemed surprised. Since dinner was two hours away, EJ
suggested he and Sami go to his suite, get a bottle of champagne and celebrate her deal as the new face of Mythic. Sami was wary, so EJ
clarified that it would be strictly business, despite how much he’d love to make love to her.
Hope asked Bo why he didn’t wake her up to make love again. Bo explained he was going to, but Roman arrived with bad news. The garage
was vandalized and Max and Mimi were missing. Bo bemoaned that he couldn’t search for his brother. He’d lost his badge thanks to Patrick. Hope took the blame. She was the reason Patrick was in their lives. Bo said Patrick was there when Hope needed him, while he had failed her. Hope wouldn’t hear of that, insisting Bo was admirable and honorable. The pair went back and forth about the mistakes they’d made; both owning up to them. The conversation turned to Shawn and his ties to Willow and EJ. Bo was sure it was Shawn’s way of spiting him. Hope said that Shawn knew right from wrong and was finding his way back home.
“Willow, are you in there?” asked Shawn, who burst into his blazing apartment and put out the fire. As sirens approached, Shawn told Willow
the firefighters would have questions for her and she better have answers. Shawn noticed Willow burned his stuff and Claire’s and asked
what was wrong with her. Willow said she was tired of competing with a 15-month-old and watching him impress “Princess Belle.” Willow lied to the firefighter, saying she was asleep when she smelled smoke. When Shawn ordered her to tell the truth, the firefighter led Willow off to
talk. The landlord emerged, demanding Shawn move out, when Bo and Hope arrived. (Shawn phoned them earlier.) The landlord talked about a
lawsuit, but Hope said everything could be handled through insurance. As the police led Willow away in handcuffs, Shawn told Bo that he’d ended things with Willow. She packed and left, but he forgot to get back his key. Shawn didn’t realize Willow would turn his living room
into a bonfire. The landlord resurfaced and said his policy covered the damages, so he wouldn’t sue Shawn. Hope and Hope asked Shawn to move home for the holidays, and he agreed.
In Italy, Marlena and John walked towards Stefano’s hospital room. Marlena paused and told John about the dream she had of him being stabbed in the chest and noted that this was the place in her
nightmare. She didn’t want John to go into the room, but he insisted he had to. Suddenly, Rico showed up with a gun, pushed John against the
wall, and vowed to kill him. Marlena resurfaced, pointed a gun at Rico’s head, and instructed him to drop his gun. Rico said he was ordered to keep anyone from entering Stefano’s room. Marlena suggested Rico go in and tell Stefano that Marlena was there. Rico obliged; then,
returned and said Stefano wanted to see her alone and sans any guns. Marlena assured John she’d be fine and promised to scream if she needed him. This was their chance to get evidence against EJ and Patrick. Marlena slowly entered Stefano’s room as he waved his hand beckoning
her closer. Meanwhile, Rico phoned EJ to tell him John was at the hospital and it was time for EJ to leave Salem. EJ protested. He hadn’t
accomplished what he came there for. Sami overheard EJ saying he didn’t give a damn about John Black and wasn’t listening to Stefano any more.
