Nicole and Austin made plans to go to L.A. Sami said she was coming, too. Austin and Nicole bickered over what they would do to High Style once they took over. Nicole wanted to cut staff; Austin didn’t.
In L.A., Carrie introduced her assistant, Becky, to Lucas before they were about to leave for dinner. Carrie noticed a slew of toys and gifts and Becky reminded her that she bought them for her employees’ children. Carrie realized she had to get the gifts out that night and asked Lucas if they could reschedule. Lucas protested, but Carrie stressed how she liked to have a personal relationship with her employees. Lucas offered to help Carrie gift-wrap the presents. After, they went to dinner.
Austin and Sami must have taken the same supersonic jet Lucas took earlier that day, because they made it to L.A. — and were able to change into fancy duds — in record time to go to dinner with a potential investor. Sami brought up old memories; Austin shot her down by explaining they were not on a date. Sami got upset; Austin apologized. Unbeknownst to them, Carrie and Lucas were dining at the same eatery.
Nicole infiltrated the High Style offices by saying she was there about the executive assistant position. There is no position, said Becky, the executive assistant.
Jennifer held Jack Jr. and had happy memories of Jack. Abby came in and she and Jennifer talked about Jack. Abby wanted to start a memory book for Jack Jr, so he would know more about his father. Abby went to make hot chocolate. Frankie came downstairs. Jen told him it was time they moved on. Does she want him to leave, Frankie asked? Yes, she said, explaining she didn’t want to be dependent on him. Jennifer went to cover Jack’s rose bushes and cried that she wishes Jack were there. “I am here,” said Jack, who magically appeared.
Kate got caught by a security guard in the hospital records room. He checked to see what she had done on the computer and discovered that she changed Shawn’s records. “You broke the law; come with me,” he said. “Do you know who I am?” Kate asked, after trying to bribe him. The guard said he knew exactly who she was —but she was still getting reported. Kate offered to change it back, but he said no.
