When Bo and Billie get the results that Chelsea is their daughter, Hope gives them time alone to digest the information. Bo asks Hope not to breathe a word to anyone until he and Billie talk to Chelsea, and Hope agrees. Billie is reluctant to tell Chelsea the truth, considering she hates her guts. Bo realizes it isn’t going to be easy, but they have to level with Chelsea. Longtime loser at love, Sami, counsels Belle on marriage and motherhood and, surprisingly, gives her baby sister some sound advice. Sami tells Belle she needs to get over Shawn and stay true to Philip; particularly since Mimi is already moving in on Shawn. Sami recounts hearing Mimi tell Bonnie that she and Shawn nearly slept together. Belle’s flabbergasted. Sami gets a disturbing phone call and leaves. It’s one of DiMera’s goons informing her that she better do what Tony wants or she can kiss her life goodbye. When Shawn returns, Belle tells him she can’t believe he almost slept with Mimi. Shawn admits they kissed, but that was it. Could Belle be jealous? Belle says she just doesn’t want Shawn to get hurt. Mimi might be using him, because she’s mad at her. Or, worse yet, what if Mimi really loves Shawn? Could he love her back? “I’m not ready to love anyone right now,” says Shawn. All he’s trying to do is move on with his life, just like Belle told him to do.
After Chelsea phones Max and asks him to meet her in an hour, Patrick reiterates that he’s worried that Max is only going to use her for sex. “At least Max is interested in showing me some affection,” sniffs Chelsea, before stealing Abby away from Josh for a minute. Chelsea tells Abby she’s leaving to meet Max. Patrick might not be into her, but Max definitely is.
Hope arrives and Patrick informs her that Chelsea is about to make a huge mistake with Max, but he’s going to stop her. Hope insists on going with him. While on their “Save Chelsea” mission, Hope, who promised not to breathe a word about the teen’s paternity, tells Patrick that Chelsea is really Bo and Billie’s daughter. When Hope and Patrick don’t find Chelsea at his house, Hope stays and waits to see if she shows up, while Patrick continues searching for her. Soon, Bo and Billie arrive and Hope informs them that Patrick went off to look for Chelsea, so he could bring her back to Billie. Bo and Billie figure out that Hope told Patrick about Chelsea’s paternity and aren’t happy. Patrick could be waiting for his next order from DiMera to kidnap Chelsea or worse. Bo and Billie race off to Max’s place looking for Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Chelsea meets Max, who tells her he wants to take her someplace special. Max blindfolds Chelsea and leads her to a romantic tent that he’s set up on the beach. The twosome roll around on a blanket, kissing, as Patrick approaches them.
Trapped in the storage room at St. Luke’s, Frankie and Jennifer yell, but no one hears them. No one except Jack, that is, who’s locked them in there and is outside holding a boom box and playing romantic music for the two of them to reminisce by. Frankie and Jennifer talk about their high school days, try on costumes they once wore as teens, which remarkably still fit, and dance. Outside, Jack peeks through the keyhole and has mixed feelings that his experiment to rekindle Frankie and Jennifer’s love seems to be working. To make matters worse, he also spies Abby kissing Josh. Caroline ends up unlocking the storage room door, and she and Jack find Jennifer kissing Frankie on the cheek. Jennifer’s embarrassed. Jack says there’s no need to explain; she and Frankie are friends. Jennifer leaves with Caroline, and Jack admits that he wanted to kill Frankie when he saw her with Jennifer. However, Jack knows he’s doing the right thing.
