Lexie thought back to telling Alex and Sami that she was through being blackmailed and keeping their dirty little secrets. Then, she phoned Austin and left him a message to call her, ASAP. Sami overheard and knew she had to do something to stop Lexie. So
she snuck into the hospital’s records room and sat down at the computer. Alex walked in and caught her red handed. Alex saw that Lexie’s medical records were up on the screen and deduced that Lexie must have something on Sami. Eventually, he figured out that it had to be something that would stop Sami from landing Austin. Sami noted that Lexie must have something on Alex, too.
Alex told Sami that they were on the same side, against Lexie, and announced that he already had a plan. He was going to change the results of Lexie’s breast biopsy to negative, no matter what they really were. Sami was appalled, noting that Lexie could die.
Alex wasn’t fazed and told Sami that she had a choice to make: either put her faith in him and insure her future with Austin or rat him out and end up alone and miserable. Deal or no deal?

Belle arrived at Shawn and Mimi’s apartment to profess her love for Shawn. Mimi knew the score, because Bonnie had called to warn her, so she immediately announced that Hope had asked Bo for a divorce. Shawn said he couldn’t believe his family was falling
apart. Marriage vows were forever and he hated the idea of divorce. When Shawn went to write an e-mail to Hope, Mimi told Belle that she knew what she was up to. Mimi begged Belle to leave Shawn alone. He was hurting over his parents’ separation
and, besides, hadn’t he told Belle enough times that they were done? Belle went on about still loving Shawn, noting that the only reason he and Mimi were together was because Shawn didn’t want to break up Belle’s family. Shawn finished writing to Hope
and noted that he didn’t think his mother believed in divorce, but guessed that things weren’t always black and white. Belle jumped on the opportunity to get Shawn to admit that sometimes divorce was an option. After some hemming and hawing, Shawn agreed. Particularly if a couple had lied to one another about
something important before they married….

Hope worried about Patrick, who went on about Alma’s death and how he felt responsible, because the men who killed her had been after him. Patrick told Hope that she could stay at his
house as long as she wanted, but he had to leave the island. Before leaving, Patrick tried to talk Hope into going back to Bo and Salem. Hope said she couldn’t face those painful memories.
Then, she and Patrick hugged and said goodbye.

Later, Hope ran into the fisherman that she’d met earlier. He explained that Patrick and Alma lived together in the bungalow and that Alma loved to tend to the garden. Hope headed there and
found a wooden box beneath some leaves and twigs. She opened it and found a letter with Patrick’s name on it. Hope read it and said, “Patrick has to see this.” Hope ran off looking for
Patrick, but found the trusty fisherman, who told her that Patrick had already left the island. Hope was upset. Now, Patrick would never know the truth about Alma’s death.

While Bo tried to come to terms with Hope’s divorce papers, Chelsea prepared to ‘fess up to her dad about her part in Hope’s decision to end their marriage. John charged into Bo’s office and said he had urgent police business to discuss, so Chelsea left.
John was furious that the police were tailing him 24/7 and told Bo that he needed them to back off. Bo erupted, saying that he couldn’t deal with this right now. Hope had filed for divorce.
John encouraged Bo to find out where Hope was, while Bo apologized for not taking the police tail off John. The two men discussed their women and how they’d both do anything to protect
them. John vowed to find a way to get Marlena away from Alex, while Bo swore that if he knew where Hope was, he’d be on the next plane to bring her home. John’s cell phone rang and it was Lexie. She needed to see him at once, so John left to meet her.

Outside Bo’s office, Chelsea met a female prisoner, who was handcuffed to a chair. The woman filled Chelsea in on the horrors of being in the slammer and she listened intently. After the
woman was carted off, Bo came out and asked Chelsea if she was ready to talk to him. Chelsea said she was, and that it was about what she had done to
Hope.
