“I’ve been involved with S.T.A.G.E. before,” relays Spirtas. “Director David Galligan, who has been a great pal, told me whenever I was in L.A. he would find a place for me in the show.” Spirtas, who also has a home in New York, smiles, “It worked out that the timing, the subject matter and me coming out to L.A. this year was a good fit.” Other stars performing in the gala benefit, on behalf of AIDS Project Los Angeles, include Dale Kristien (ex-Janet, DAYS), Betty Buckley, Helen Reddy and Richard Chamberlain.
