Digest: Did Adrienne [Frantz, Amber, Y&R] give you any advice when you worked together on Y&R and L.A. DIARIES?
Schulenburg: What really impressed me with Adrienne is that she’s so business savvy and intelligent when it comes to investments and how to save your money, so we talked a lot about that. I’m so used to being poor [laughs]! And we talked about some of the scenes we did, which were a first time for me for sure, like a love scene. She’s a really great person to work with, especially for my first time. Digest: How was your first day at ATWT?
Schulenburg: It was great. It was really early in the morning, so I’ve got to get used to that [laughs]. Chris directed the couple of scenes I was in because he’s just such a thoughtful person. I haven’t been able to work with the other directors yet and it was for the porn video. So he came in and directed it so I would feel more comfortable with the situation, having someone I knew doing it.Digest: That’s really diving in head-first on your first day!
Schulenburg: Adrienne and I talked about that a lot, too. I kept thinking about how they show it on TV. When you see somebody’s back on TV, you think that’s not a big deal, but actually doing the scene and having your back show completely is definitely a lot more jarring. I think we’re so desensitized to seeing shots like that, but actually doing it is a whole different story!
