Crossover Mania
There have been many new yet familiar daytime faces popping up in Oakdale this past year, including Sarah Brown (Julia; ex-Carly, GENERAL HOSPITAL) and Kin Shriner (Keith; ex-Scott, GENERAL HOSPITAL/PORT CHARLES). While goofing around with Shriner in the ATWT hair room, Michael Park (Jack) spoke to Weekly about all his new castmembers — and about the upcoming crossover from THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS as Christian J. LeBlanc brings his character, Michael Baldwin, from Genoa City to Oakdale.
“We love having Kin here and we have a lot of fun with him,” smiles Park.” From the first couple of days you work with him you just know he fits in. We take our work very seriously, but we don’t take ourselves very seriously. I don’t like to speak for anybody, but I’d say the same thing for Martha (Byrne, Lily) and Jon (Hensley, Holden).”
Park is gearing up to share scenes with LeBlanc. “I can’t help but feel excited,” he explains. “In one year you get to work with Sarah, then Kin and now Christian. It’s going to be a lot of fun. And the fact that I get to work now with Martha and Jon everyday is pretty cool, too.”
Park is familiar with LeBlanc and his work. “We’ve done a couple of events in Atlantic City together,” reveals Park. “He’s a lot of fun. Between him and Michelle Stafford (Phyllis, Y&R), those guys are so funny and very smart. He’s a smart actor as well as smart guy so it’s going to be great.”
Look for LeBlanc to air on ATWT April 4 and 5.
