Chatting With PASSIONS’s Kacie Borrowman

Comments

Soap Opera Digest: What have you been up to?
Kacie Borrowman: A little bit of everything. I did some stunt-double work and some stand-in work on The Cat in the Hat, which was really fun. I stunt-doubled for three days, but I stood in for probably two months.Digest: Who did you stand in for?
Borrowman: Mainly the Things. Thing One and Thing Two.Digest: Did you go to the premiere?
Borrowman: No, I’m not that high up [laughs].Digest: What else have you been doing?
Borrowman: Some elf work here and there. I was an elf in the feature film Surviving Christmas, which will probably come out next Christmas. And I was one of about 20 dwarf jurors in the movie Van Helsing [with Kate Beckinsale and Hugh Jackman]. It was just costume work, but it was fun. I think Van Helsing comes out in March or May.Digest: What was your reaction when PASSIONS called you to come back?
Borrowman: I was very excited. I was like, “Yay! I can do it. What is it? What am I doing? Is it Connie again or a new character?” And it’s something completely new, which is so much fun. It doesn’t matter who the character is, as long as it’s fun.Digest: Did Cousin Harry require more or less makeup than Cracked Connie?
Borrowman: It’s actually more costume, less makeup.Digest: Are you recognizable in this costume?
Borrowman: No. And I think they’re changing my voice, so I have no idea what I’ll sound like. Other than the name, most people probably won’t even know [it’s me].Digest: What was it like to work with Juliet Mills (Tabitha) again?
Borrowman: It was really fun. It’s always nice to work, but Juliet is great. It was neat to be back and to see everybody again. It was like a little reunion.Digest: Did you meet any of the new cast members?
Borrowman: Yes, I met Danica [Stewart, Jessica] and Heidi [Mueller, Kay]. I didn’t get to talk to them much.Digest: Do you wish your return was for a longer period of time?
Borrowman: Let’s just say that it would be fun if Cousin Harry got to come back. So, yes.Digest: Do you get recognized as Cracked Connie?
Borrowman: Not that much. My mom always swears that someone is looking at me and trying to figure out how they knew me, but I’m like, “Who? Where? Whatever, Mom.” She seems to think it happens a lot, but I don’t think so. It’s okay. It’s probably better that way; otherwise, I’ll get all paranoid if I think everyone’s staring at me.Digest: What are you working on now?
Borrowman: I’m working on the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. They have several [versions] outside New York going on at the same time. I’m doing the Seattle/Phoenix cast. It’s really fun. We prance all over the stage and run around like nuts.
