Catching Up With…GH’s Julian Stone

Comments

Soap Opera Weekly: Would you ever want to return to GH?
Stone: Jerry Jacks was my first soap experience and I had never been on a soap set before. Quite frankly, it was excellent. I had a great time. I worked with wonderful people. But the storyline [would have to] make sense.Weekly: Well, Bobbie sure could use a love interest.
Stone: I’m still very friendly with Jackie (Zeman, Bobbie) and we have lunch every so often. I’m a little out of touch with storylines and things.Weekly: How much of Jerry is still inside of you?
Stone: He had a sense of fun; that’s why the relationship worked with Bobbie and Lucas. Then the relationship with Jax was predicated upon that where there could be that forgiveness. Apart from obviously the fraternal relationship, they were birds of a feather to a very large extent. They had this wild jet-setting perspective about life. I would like to think I have a little bit of that.Weekly: Do you keep in touch with anyone else from the show?
Stone: I bump into people occasionally. I’ve seen people at auditions and I bumped into John York (Mac, GH). We played golf a couple of times when I was on the show. I see people from other soaps that I got to know when I was doing charity work and I still do some charity work.Weekly: What are your best memories of working on GH?
Stone: I was very fortunate to be working with Jackie and Ingo (Rademacher, Jax). We got along great, from the day that I tested. It was just fun. The other thing was, and I mean this genuinely, the interaction with the fans and the doors that were opened in terms of doing charity work. I got involved with The Make-A-Wish Foundation when I was on the show. Plus, it was nice to have that ability, obviously within reason, to meet the people that come from different walks of life. I got letters from South Africa and Australia and Canada. I liked that. I thought it was nice to have a sense of how this TV show was a positive influence for people.
