B&B Guest Phyllis Diller Dead
Legendary comedian Phyllis Diller, who was a frequent guest on BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL as Gladys and last appeared in March for the show's 25th anniversary special when she officiated Stephanie and Eric's impromptu nuptials, has died. According to TMZ.com, the actress died at her L.A. home surrounded by her family. She was 95. B&B Head Writer/Executive Producer Brad Bell tweeted on the B&B Twitter handle, @boldinsider about Phyllis Diller's death: "I was saddened to hear of the passing of Phyllis Diller. who was a life-long friend of my mother & a long-term character on Bold and Beautiful. Her last TV performance, at 94 years old, was B&B. Phyllis will be remembered by the laughter she brought to those who knew & loved her, including audiences around the world."
