Stephanie, Taylor and Thorne faced off against Eric, Ridge and Brooke, but the two camps at Forrester learned that fighting for control would land them in endless court battles, which would ultimately leave them “fighting over the carcass.” The lawyers suggested mediation and compromise. “When have the six of us ever agreed on anything?” Ridge bemoaned, but they were told to start small. For example, Stephanie dropped her claims so she got to keep Eric’s office. Eric in return would regain a share of the company and control. The lawyers warned the specifics would take a while to hammer out, but said that was better than the courts and left to get started. Stephanie of course refused to move forward if Brooke was involved, but was forced to concede. “Just keep the bitch out of my sight,” she concluded. Then, left alone with Taylor, she got in a bit of TTT (Taylor Therapy Time).
Brooke suggested that she step down to save Eric and Ridge the drama, but they wouldn’t hear of it. She concluded that she’d keep herself scarce and deal with some mommy stuff. That mommy stuff was giving Dante a reality check and asking him to step back. Dante was, of course, resistant, saying that Nick would return to Brooke if Bridget lost the baby.
Still at Forrester, Thorne wanted Ridge to join him as co-prez, but Ridge snidely responded that he’d rather watch Thorne fall than help hold him up. Stephanie, meanwhile, gave Eric and Ridge a new office — in the basement! She said they could put Brooke in the center and “share” her. When Stephanie bemoaned never being more than an “idle, well dressed” wife and mother, Eric shot back that she’d never shown any interesting in learning about the company. Then he kicked her out of his grand new office, saying he’ll be happier there than he’d ever been with her.
Bridget set out for her prenatal exam, but didn’t let Dante come with her. She worried that she was relying too much on him since he moved in and said it was time she started acting like the “single mother to be” that she was. Nick showed up just as the doctor suggested another ultrasound and Bridget let him stay. While they waited, she admitted she’d forgiven him and they were all a-smile when the doc arrived. The ultrasound left Nick beaming, but that didn’t last long. The doctor dropped the bomb that there was a problem with the baby!
