“You’re with yet another man your mother was involved with,” Ridge reminded Bridget. Apparently he finds the situation more problematic now that he’s back with Brooke than he did when her was romancing her daughter. Ridge insisted that Nick is still in love with Brooke, but Bridget accused Ridge of seeing feelings where none exist…much as Amber had done to them.
Thomas and Gaby bonded over memories of their dead mothers and he offered to cook her dinner. Gaby hummed a tune her mother used to sing. It’s a message from your mother, Thomas insisted. You wouldn’t think so, if you knew the words, she replied. Hmmm…Caitlin burst in and announced that she had made dinner reservations for herself and Thomas. But Thomas was wary of leaving Gaby alone.
Nick informed Brooke that Ridge had done them all a favor by bringing up the night they spent together. Bridget lurked outside as Brooke and Nick discussed their one-night stand. “You touched my heart. Those memories are still with me,” Nick told Brooke. “Are you still in love with me?” Brooke wondered. There’s a conversation every woman hopes to hear between her fianc and her mother….

Amber confessed to Stephanie that she contemplated leaving Ridge behind in Venice, but was stopped by thoughts of Steph. She vowed to prove herself to the Forrester grand dame, though Stephanie insisted that Amber’s crimes couldn’t be wiped out just by saving Ridge from a psychopath in a foreign country.
Ridge rocked the boat by refusing to accept Nick’s apology for sleeping with Brooke (though he didn’t cop to the “rape” that Ridge accused him of). Nick even asked Ridge to give his blessing to the wedding, but Ridge stormed out without replying.
Bridget and Brooke discussed plans for the coming nuptials, and Brooke assured her daughter that she believes Nick is a good man, and “I’ve know a lot of men in my life.” Well, that’s one way to put it… Alarmed that Ridge hadn’t returned home, Brooke decided to go to Nick’s boat to check things out. There, Nick informed Brooke that her husband believed Nick raped her. Meanwhile Ridge arrived home, and announced to Bridget: “There is no way you’re marrying Nick.”

With encouragement from Hector and Caitlin, Thomas planned to go to Gabriela’s neighborhood and learn if anyone knew where she was living after being evicted. Meanwhile, Stephanie learned that Gabriela’s financial situation is dire and the girl is likely living in her car. La Forrester offered Gabriela a home with the Forresters and a job at Forrester Creations, which she accepted. “Can I sleep in my mom’s old room?” she asked.
Eric lectured Bridget that if she married Nick in haste, it wouldn’t be the first time that she rushed to the altar (Hi Deacon!). “He was dating another of my daughters recently and he came close to marrying your own mother not too long ago,” he reminded. But Brooke gave Bridget her blessing.
When Ridge realized that Nick and Bridget were engaged, an angry Ridge confronted Nick about the night he slept with Brooke. “You raped my wife, Nick,” he accused. Huh?

Ridge shared a happy reunion with his children and parents and was shocked when Stephanie praised Brooke’s devotion to him and offered her former rival a hug. “Apparently a lot has changed since I’ve been gone,” Ridge marveled. But his joy was short-lived when he recalled being punched by Nick.
Bridget was moved to tears after waking up with Nick following their first night together. “The snoring, it drove you to tears,” he teased. “I loved listening to you snore,” she responded. (Sure, it’s cute now…) Bridget eagerly anticipated sharing the news of their engagement with her family, but Nick wasn’t so sure they’d be pleased.
A concerned Brooke called Bridget upon learning that her daughter hadn’t returned home the previous night. Bridget assured Mom that she was fine and returned home to spill the details of her engagement to Steph, Eric and Brooke. Meanwhile, Ridge arrived at Nick’s boat and accused his brother of using his memory loss to get closer to Brooke and Bridget. He then ordered Nick to stay away from the women. Yeah, that engagement is going to go over like gangbusters…

Brooke and Ridge had a sweet and teary reunion. “You are my world,” Ridge declared as he kissed his wife. Brooke wanted to talk about Morgan, but Ridge admitted his memory lacked details. He explained that Morgan wanted to have his baby, and described the lengths that she went to. Ridge thanked Brooke for being there, needing him and just “being you.” She assured him she was all his. After showering, Ridge emerged to find Brooke in — well what do you know? — sexy lingerie. He grinned and said he was having trouble remembering some things. Not to worry, Brooke assured him she could help refresh that memory. They had sex….
Stephanie told Eric she had talked to Nick about Bridget and added that she’d never seen Bridget happier. Eric seemed less sure and vowed to talk to Nick about his intentions. “Are you sure that’s a good idea?” wondered Steph. (Probably not considering Eric’s past with his daughter’s love interests.)….
An elated Bridget said yes to Nick’s marriage proposal. “I feel like I’m dreaming,” she beamed. Nick promised her it was indeed a dream, but one she’d never have to wake up from. (Awwww. Could you put that to music, Nick?) He would always be there for her. With that, they began kissing and Bridget declared she could wait no longer. That’s all Nick needed to hear and he escorted her out of Chuck’s and back to his place which was full of romantic candles and even champagne. (Note: leaving candles burning with no one home is not safe. Don’t try this at home!) The newly engaged couple made love and while basking in the after-glow, Nick asked Bridget to hand him the remote. Hmm? Time for the evening news? Paradise ending already? Nah, Nick had another trick up his sleeve. With a press of the remote, he started a fire. He told her that she made him the type of man he wanted to be, and the two began kissing again…
