Back To Llanview
Our first ONE LIFE TO LIVE set Chat was so popular, we returned to Llanview to talk with your favorite stars a second time.
This time around we headed to the set on a Friday, right after OLTL had finished airing on the East Coast. Melissa Archer (Natalie) was the first actress to come say hello, and the first one to take questions from the chatters.
The fans were quick to applaud Archer for her work with David Fumero (Cristian) during Natalie and Cristian’s reunion. When asked about other actors on the show, she listed Robert Woods (Bo) and Trevor St. John (Todd) as people she’d like to work with more.
Archer had to get to work, so she signed off just as Melissa Gallo (Adriana) walked in. A veteran of our set Chats, Gallo immediately made herself comfortable at the computer screen. After singing the praises of colleagues Erika Slezak (Viki), Robin Strasser (Dorian) and Tuc Watkins (David), Gallo noted that she’d really like to work with Kathy Brier (Marcie). “We get along so well and we never get to work together,” Gallo shared. “But we’re roomies at work so that’s fun!”
Gallo also hinted to the fans that Adrianna’s relationship with Duke (Matthew Metzger) would progress, but she was sure not to give up the details (gotta tune in for those). She then handed over moderator status to Jay Wilkison (Riley).
Wilkison stoked the Riley/Jennifer (Jessica Morris) flames, promising more between them in the coming months. The Tennessee native (go Titans) also told fans to keep an eye out for his official Web site, which is currently under construction, and he also admitted to wanting to sing on the show with Broadway star Kathy Brier. “Kathy has an amazing voice,” he noted.
Wilikison yielded the floor to John-Paul Lavoisier (Rex), who started out getting advice on his golf game. “(Over Thanksgiving) I shot a 86 and then…a…um…1-0-4…I suck,” he confided. A fan suggested, “You should just aim for five strokes per hole; then you can concentrate better and not worry about going over par.”
After acknowledging the fan’s wisdom, Lavoisier went on to talk story. He was amused at the fans asking for a Marcie/Rex pairing, considering how much the characters dislike each other. “Rex and Marcie would be very funny, they should try it in a dream sequence or something,” he suggested. He also liked the fan idea of Rex turning out to be David’s son (“Write to the show! Pitch the idea!” he encouraged), and of Rex and Evangeline (Renee Goldsberry) getting together (when a fan said that it wouldn’t work because Evangeline would crush Rex, Lavoisier quipped, “No…Rex would crush her. And like it.”).
A technical glitch bounced Lavoisier out of the Chat room temporarily, but he was gracious enough to stay put and take up where he left off with the fans. When one asked if Rex was going to go straight and reform from his bad boy ways, he replied, “Rex is getting a little bit nicer, but he still may have killed Paul…so we shall see.”
After taking a few more questions, Lavoisier signed off and the Chat concluded. If your favorite OLTL actor/actress hasn’t participated yet, take heart: our third OLTL set Chat is tentatively scheduled for sometime in January. Look for details on our home page, soapoperadigest.com.
