Austin Peck: The Naked Truth
AS THE WORLD TURNS’ Brad and Katie took to the task of making little Snyders almost as enthusiastically as Austin Peck (Brad) took to taping the hilarious scenes.
“I really had a good time,” chuckles the actor of Brad and Katie’s first go-round. “That was a very fun day.”
Not to mention a very naked day. “I know, I know,” groans Peck theatrically, “I need to get in the gym. I haven’t been working out.”
When Weekly scoffs at Peck’s modesty (Come on, that’s what he looks like without hitting the gym?), he swears, “That is me not working out!”
Riiiight.
“I was just watching one of the ‘finest’ films ever made, Troy, and when you’re sitting there watching Brad Pitt, you’re like, ‘Ugh, I gotta work out!'” cracks Peck. “He bulked up for that.”
Peck may be a little wary about showing off his er, pecs, but he contends that Brad has no such doubts. “I love playing Brad because part of his appeal is that he is so willing to let things hang out,” he insists. “He’s very aware of his sexuality, of his looks. He’s totally willing to bare it all — and very aware that he is baring it all.”
And, far from arrogance, Peck thinks that’s a nice change. “On a lot of other shows, or with a lot of other characters, they’ll play the scenes where the guy is not aware of [his physique],” Peck scoffs. “The hero is not aware of how awesome he is. That, to me, is cliched and boring beyond measure. With Brad, it’s fun because he’s a ham.”
Don’t you mean a beefcake?
