Gwen and Casey whispered VERY, VERY, VERY QUIETLY about Will and Jade. When she revealed she can’t have kids Casey got weepy. Gwen said she cannot get past the fact that she wants children but cannot conceive, while Jade is pregnant with a kid she doesn’t care about. She hugged him and said she’d give anything to have another baby. Meanwhile, Luke and Jade discussed the cold weather, and Luke suggested “first love” is too powerful for Will and Gwen to resist. Jade told Luke that Gwen can’t have kids (and she pretended to feel bad), and she’s sure Will will want to be with the mother of his child. Luke wasn’t so sure. He also fretted going back to school, where they will be known as “the gay kid and the whore.” Casey swore allegiance to Gwen, who suggested they register for class. Casey left to change his shirt, and Jade appeared. Gwen said she bore no ill will toward the baby, and Jade helpfully rubbed her belly as she insisted she’d never leave Will, no matter what. Gwen’s marriage failed because she split. Gwen fled and Jade gave Casey the package she was carrying for him. Casey fired her from Crash (despite her pleas that she’s pregnant!). She pointed out this is the second time he threw a pregnant woman out in the cold. Luke tried to buck up Will. Luke had to visit the hospital, and urged Will not to take out his anger on Jade. Jade then appeared, looking for a job — and a place to live, so she sobbed on Will’s shoulder. Gwen told Casey she wanted to bunk at Crash because she couldn’t afford the dorms, but when she saw Will and Jade she told them she’s moving into the dorms with Casey, angering Will. Jade asked to go home with him.

Jack lit candles as he waited at Carly’s with beer, pizza and roses. But Simon walked in! “What are you doing here?” Jack demanded. Simon suggested Carly might not be happy to see him, but Jack defended his turf. Meanwhile, Carly found the Five of Cups tarot card and recalled the fortune teller foretelling good things, and she thought of Simon. Jack suggested Simon just wants to get in Carly’s pants, but Simon blasted Jack for giving Carly the false hope of reconciliation. When Jack left, Simon grabbed the pizza and beer. Meanwhile, Carly picked up the Five of Cups card just as Jack walked in and confessed, “I have been a Class A jerk,” begged forgiveness and asked her to marry him. She kissed him — only to realize she was really kissing Simon! But wait — it was all a dream. She awoke on the couch and tore up the tarot card just as the real Simon returned. She seemed touched by the gesture of pizza and beer. He thanked her for helping so much and reminded her of the “special bonus” she promised.

Lucy primped for her dinner with Dusty, who showed up with Johnny. She suggested they see a matinee. Dusty went upstairs for a moment, and the manager asked Lucy to take part in the evening’s karaoke. She was laboring through a song when Dusty sauntered in — and flashed back to Jennifer singing. Fraught, he fled. Lucy fretted that she was so bad she drove him away. He told her he had to go, but refused to explain why, instead fibbing about Johnny. When Lucy offered to examine him Dusty snapped at her. He apologized, but Lucy worried that he doesn’t trust her with the child. He said he just wants time alone with Johnny.

Meanwhile, Jack drank beer alone. With Simon’s words echoing in his head, he felt a chill in the air.
